Euro 2012 blog: Teams honor Holocaust, ignore Holodomor

Team after team arriving for the Euro 2012 championship is making a well-publicized point of visiting the Nazi extermination camp of Auschwitz. No teams, however, have indicated they plan to visit any memorials linked to the Holodomor – the devastating man-made famine that ended the lives of up to seven million Ukrainians in the 1930s – or even that they actually know what it is.

Hosts Poland and Ukraine have in recent weeks been criticized by foreign media as harboring a culture of vitriolic racism and anti-Semitism, sparking outrage and condemnation by many in the football community. Critics of the two countries often applauded the teams' decision to visit the Nazi death camp of Auschwitz-Birkenau.

I am afraid it is up to us to increase public awareness of the Holodomor! I have been aware of it for 50 years, though not under that name. This knowledge is one of the major reasons I have been an anti-communist since I was a teenager and before!

Jewish group objects to ‘Great Famine’ case

    June 15, 2009
KIEV, Ukraine (JTA) -- A Jewish group in Ukraine is objecting to a criminal case brought over the "Great Famine" committed in the 1930s.
The nation's security service is pressing the case against a list of former Soviet officials accused of committing the Holodomor, which caused the deaths of millions in Ukraine in 1932-33. Most of the names on the list were Jewish.

We wouldn't want the holodomor being used for political purposes...The holocaust, on the other hand...to use it for political purpose is laudable!

A priest who is not a monarchist is not worthy to stand at the altar table. The priest who is a republican is always a man of poor faith. God himself anoints the monarch to be head of the kingdom, while the president is elected by the pride of the people. The king stays in power by implementing God’s commandments, while the president does so by pleasing those who rule. The king brings his faithful subjects to God, while the president takes them away from God.

I posted this on the other Forum: It's about the N.K.V.D.'s actions against the Polish Community.

ALL Poles were Ethnically targeted. Not just so called "Counterrevolutionaries". Some 100,000 plus Polish Men were executed, and the Women and Children deported to Kazakstan. Likely the Women were abused along the way by Red thugs. Orphans were given to "Soviet Families" to be raised with no Polish conciousness. Other Ethnic groups got this treatment such as Latvians, Volksdeutscher, etc. I've never seen one T.V. show, Documentary, or Newspaper, or Magazine article about it ever.
