Thread: Two Quotes From A Distinguished Journalist

I found these little known quotes by the distinguished and courageous journalist, Joseph Sobran in a book titled, In Search of Anti-Semitism by William F. Buckley Jr. on pages 20 & 22. The book was published in 1992 by Continuum.

~"Although the great Jewish theologian Moses Maimonides insisted that it was as wrong to kill a gentile as a Jew, it seems strange that this should ever have been a matter of controversy, and Maimonides was in some quarters regarded as a heretic. The Yiddish word for gentile, 'goy,' is contemptuous; 'goyishkopf'....literally, 'gentile-headed'...means 'stupid.' "

~"Israel is a deeply anti-Christian country; it has even eliminated the plus sign from math textbooks because the plus sign (Yes, this: + sign) looks like a cross! Yet Israel depends on American Christians for tax money and tourism, so it must mute this theme for foreign consumption."

Needless to say, Sobran, like Pat Buchanan, was branded with the 'anti-Semitic' label by the liberal media because of his refusal to 'kiss the ring' of the Jewish establishment...Joseph Sobran died in 2010.
