This woman's avant-garde defiance is a heroic symbol to white women and young girls throghout America. "Tolerating" the fact that gays exist is one thing; promoting them in the media is lamentable; but allowing men to disingenuously and perversely present themselves as women, then giving them a central platform to shove their profane charade down Americans' throats, seems to be where the common people are finally drawing the line.
In spite of her resignation, Ms. Monnin is the rightful Ms. USA in my book.

As an interesting side-note: I just found out I know the winner of the, albeit farcical, Ms. USA pageant. Not well, but we both had a class together at University, and she seemed fairly nice.

It is unfourtunate, however, that she does not share the high-standards of honor and morality of Ms. Monnin, and her victory may have only been a result of her acceptance of such declining standards (see above article).
