The "Medieval Week" in Visby, Gotland
On the swedish island of Gotland, every year there's a festival called the Medieval Week were people come from all of Sweden to enjoy the festivities of remembering and sharing their cultural heritage, visiting blacksmiths and watching how weapons used to be made, tourneys, jousts, dressing up like the ancestors of old and generally having an amazing time:

I got a good tingling feeling down my spine looking at the pics. The archers with flaming arrows kindled a memory inside me.

I train every week in Medieval weaponry. I am confident with sword/shield. I prefer the Saex to a full lenght sword. At the moment I am training with halberd and my all time weapon of choice...the polearm. I've been training for about 3yrs now. Amazing the damage a big stick can do! I'd love to go to Europe and see the castles.
I judge a person on how they treat children and animals.
