Default The Struggle For An EthnoState

It is the Worst of Times...It is the Best of Times.

    by

    Faustus

Within this framework, as opposed to the modern reality of a 'multi-cultural' America, that traditional Homeland of original settlers and pioneers, those of European stock who, through blight, hunger, inevitable ethnic warfare, as well as the simple duality of human nature, carved out with their bare hands, a common presence, a common ideal, and a common people out of many, and diverse peoples, related, but characteristically independent, sovereign, arrogant, and pious in their singular and specific view of each and every opposing world-view, a legacy dominated by religion, warfare, and fear.

It was never a peaceful process, the process of carving out a Nation. Struggle never is.

Today's progeny, those children of today, increasingly, know less of these antecedents and more of a new parentage, an adoption really, of individuals who, unlike them, neither see, feel, look, respond, or spiritually comprehend what is natural, right, beautiful, and intelligent for the survival and extension of what, for now, is held by fewer and fewer individuals who see the vision of today's world through the eyes of their ancestors.

However, these children are here, they remain, living and dying, keeping both a memory and a dream alive, no matter the intrinsic evolution, and changing of the guard of yesteryear; like their ancestors, need and desire are of sterner stuff than can be quantified in cursory assessments or political careers based, not on that mystical quality of the 'dreamer', or the esoteric logic of 'freedom', but on status quo, on the absolute value of control. No longer are we one, great, connected People, designed by Providence to acquire, work, harness, and nurture the natural elements for the betterment and continuation of a particular, unique, and fragile people, a people which, at first blush, belongs to each of us.

What, then, as the dream fades, and the inherent discomfort continues unabated, do we, you and I, do?

Moreover, if resolution is possible, either in our lifetime or that of our children, what shape, contour, or specific design do we aspire? This has been the question for at least the last two generations, lost in a fog of controversy and historical persuasion, changing from one generation to the next since the "War Between The States', and the continuous maneuverings of political parricide. Is Life really so dear, that we purchase this gift with the chains of Slavery and abrogation?

Below, an article presented in the tradition of debate, and education between peers and folk which, by extension, simply accommodates the essence of the specie: The pursuit to discover what is ours to achieve. It is hoped that the pursuits in which the entire nation is being drawn, ineluctably, into the future will develop, as all new passions, into that birth which will, also, define the person in his majority.

This is an old discussion, but with new blood and bone assessing the value and inadequacies might, just might, receive a new and bolder import in the coming days.

Default The Struggle For An EthnoState

    Southern Homeland

    by

    Hunter Wallace

In my commentary on the Northwest Front, I alluded to my own preference for a Southern ethnostate, but I didn’t expand much on this idea. The South has several advantages over the Northwest as the location for the White ethnostate. In the present political climate, I won’t argue that a Southern ethnostate is a realistic possibility, as I find that outcome unlikely to materialize. Instead, I will argue solely that it would be easier to carve out an ethnostate in the South than in other parts of the United States.

    1.) Racial Consciousness

Southerners are far more racially conscious than Whites in the Pacific Northwest. There are still millions of Americans who cling to traditional racial values. The majority of them live in the South. In Alabama, I would argue that at least 1 out of 2 Whites are racially conscious to some degree. The rest have a high degree of “implict whiteness” that could be activated in the right conditions. More Whites voted against Barack Obama in Alabama than in any other state.

The strongest argument for the South is that racialists have a base in the region. The South is a fertile area for in reach activism. There are millions of Southerners who agree with us on race who have never heard of White Nationalism because of the media blackout. We have more human material to work with. We have more people who are potentially receptive to our message.

In some states, creating a racialist majority is not outside the realm of possibility. David Duke almost won some important races in Louisiana in spite of his Neo-Nazi and Ku Klux Klan baggage. A cleaner candidate with a professionally run campaign could conceivably become Governor of a Southern state. The Council of Conservative Citizens already have sympathetic elected officials in the Mississippi state legislature.

    2.) Political Correctness and Multiculturalism

Political correctness and multiculturalism have invaded Southern college campuses. Every SEC college has an Office of Diversity and Multiculturalism or its equivilant. I would argue though that PC and multiculturalism have weaker roots in the South than any other region. Universities are commonly fortresses of liberalism, but Southern college students tend to be apathetic or apolitical.

It is not uncommon for Southern fraternities to ridicule political correctness. A huge controversy at Ole Miss is brewing right now over being forced to choose a new PC mascot. Contrast Ole Miss with UC San Diego. Outside the liberal college towns, White Southerners are even more likely to hold political correctness and multiculturalism in contempt. It would be easier to overthrow both in the South than in the Northwest.

    3.) Liberalism

At least rhetorically, the majority of White Southerners are opposed to liberalism. They voted against Barack Obama and have since flocked into the Tea Party movement. In contrast, the Seattle-Portland urban corridor in the Northwest is a progressive stronghold. Washington and Oregon have voted for the Democratic candidate in every presidential election since 1988.

White Southerners get most of the conservative social issues: abortion, multiculturalism, illegal immigration, affirmative action, welfare, crime. In the South, White Nationalists still have to move the goal posts, but we don’t have to move them as far as in the Northwest.

    4.) Culture

As everyone knows, racialism has deeper roots in Southern culture than in any other region of the United States. The South was committed to white supremacy for three centuries. Residual traces of that heritage still exist in the South. These embers could potentially be stirred up into a bonfire again. It would be easier to do this in the South than in the Northwest. We have more material to work with.

    5.) Ethnicity

The South is unique in that the great waves of European immigration tended to avoid the region. The vast majority of European immigrants settled in the Midwest, West, and New England. White Southerners have deeper roots in America. The typical Southerner is more likely to be descended (in whole or in part) from the original White settlers.

Millions of White Southerners now identify as “Americans” on the Census. Their families have been in America for so long that they have “gone native” and shed European ethnic affiliations. Southerners are more patriotic because they have more invested in the United States. When your ancestors fought in the American Revolution, Mexican War, Civil War, Spanish-American War, WW1, WW2, and Vietnam, naturally, you feel a greater sense of connection to America, its history and heritage, and its destiny.

I have no doubt that Southerners are more willing to fight for their idea of America. It would be easier to persuade them to fight for a White ethnostate because they have more to lose. After moving from Alabama to Virginia, I can still sense that I am living among my own people. The accents and culture are familar. White Southerners are an ethnic group that occupy a huge contiguous geographic region. Virginians and Alabamians are blood relatives only a few generations removed from a common stock.

In other parts of country, that just isn’t true. Poles live among Irish, Germans, and Italians. Southerners are related by blood, soil, history, climate, and culture. They move less often. We have more in common than the disparate other groups who live elsewhere in the United States. It would be easier to mobilize White Southerners around a common political goal. There are less obstacles in the way.

I love that line from The Good Shepherd where Joseph Palmi says, “Let me ask you something … we Italians, we got our familes, and we got the church; the Irish, they have the homeland; Jews, their tradition; even the ******s, they got their music. What about you people, Mr. Wilson, what do you have?” And Wilson responds, “We have the United States of America. The rest of you are just visiting.”

    6.) Tradition

The idea of a White ethnostate originated in the South. Specifically, it can be traced back to the Upper South in states like Virginia and Kentucky where Whites often lamented the presence of blacks and yearned for the day when they would be spirited off to Africa. The history of the American Colonization Society is well known in racialist circles. Maryland and Virginia colonized thousands of their blacks in Liberia. After the Civil War, there was a renewed push to deport blacks to the Belgian Congo led by Senator Morgan of Alabama. Theodore Bilbo of Mississippi pushed the idea in Congress in the 1930s and 1940s.

    7.) Actual Examples

The South has a history of ethnic cleansing. Famously, the Five Civilized Tribes were deported to Oklahoma from the Southeast under the Jackson and Van Buren administrations. After the Civil War, the Ozarks region of Arkansas expelled its negro residents and became a de facto White ethnostate. In the Great Migrations, half of the blacks in America relocated to the North rather than endure segregation and white supremacy in the Jim Crow South.

    8.) Geographical Proximity

How would Southerners thread the needle of Greg Johnson’s dilemma? You can’t have strong racial consciousness without multiracialism, but you can’t have a White ethnostate by including non-Whites? The answer lies in geographic proximity: if a White ethnostate was created in proximity to a negro ethnostate, it would define its own identity in opposition to its African neighbor, in much the same way that Germany defined itself against France. A Southern ethnostate would prove more enduring.

    9.) Separatism and Secession

The South is the only region of America that has ever seceded from the United States, fought a bloody war against the U.S. federal government, and existed as an independent country. The Jim Crow South was essentially granted “home rule” for over half a century. No other region of the United States has such a strong independent sense of identity.

Southerners alone have an ethnic and national identity to fall back on. However attenuated that identity may be, it still exists, and in the right conditions could potentially be reactivated. Secessionist groups already exist in the South. A stronger feeling of anti-government sentiment prevails in the region. Given their heritage, Southerners are more receptive to the idea of secession than other Americans.

    10.) Building Blocks

The South has the building blocks of a potential White ethnostate. I’m referring to the White Belts that exist throughout the region. In these areas, Whites are 90% of the population or more, but heavily black areas are nearby and the focal point of racial consciousness. Historically, the White Belts have been notorious for their aversion to blacks.

In the South, racial separatism could take the form of a migration of Whites from the Black Belts to the White Belts. The spine of a Southern ethnostate stretches down the Appalachian Mountains from West Virginia to North Alabama. Large portions of North Alabama, North Georgia, East Tennessee, Western North Carolina, Eastern Kentucky, and West Virginia are relatively White. It would be sensible to salvage these areas. They would be easier for Southerners to relocate to than to the Northwest.

In an upcoming post, I will respond to some of the criticisms of a Southern ethnostate. These include Christianity, nationalism, economic dependence on blacks, the popularity of multiracial college football, devotion to the GOP, and the spread of miscegenation, multiculturalism, and political correctness in the region.

    Default Midwest Homeland

    Midwestern Homeland

    by

    Matt Parrott

Some folks in the movement have embraced the goal of establishing a Northwestern Homeland. The area is large, fertile, and remains overwhelmingly White. Hunter Wallace thinks that a Southern Homeland is the best hope. The area’s Whites have the strongest racial identity and secession is a part of their folk memory. Both of these visions pale in comparison to the one White racialist movement that came within a hairs breadth of obtaining true sovereignty and independence. Unfortunately, this flickering light of hope went out on June 8, 1978.

Personally, my money is on the Midwest in general and Indiana in particular. In fact, I believe this so strongly that I wrote a book about it: Hoosier Nation ($8.00+S&H). If you don’t want a glossy signed copy of my excellent book, you can read it for free at the site. In it, I explain how our oft-overlooked history, our unique heritage, and our current demographic situation make Indiana the best place to light this fire. Some of you may remember that the last serious awakening of White American identity occurred here. If you guys would give us one more chance, we promise not to blow it this time.

Ultimately, I don’t believe any region is entirely out of the question and no region is a sure shot. The actual residents of the Pacific Northwest are so removed from what’s actually happening to their country that they have trouble understanding why anybody would struggle to get away from all the fun people appear to be having on their satellite television channels - The Johnson Paradox. As for the South, these are people who are a bit too comfortable with their plight. They even dress up in costumes on the weekend to relive their devastating defeat.

    Just sayin’…

But, in all seriousness, the Southern Midwest was largely settled by yeomen farmers, White refugees of the Southern plantation economy. They didn’t bring much with them when they came, but they did bring a familiarity with Blacks and a hatred of hypocritical White elites. We have non-Whites, but they’re limited to densely populated urban ghettos. They’re not integrated into the land and the communities as “folk” in the same way they are in the South.

I’m not psychic, so I have no idea what our future beholds. I would rather not resort to secession. I would rather we as a whole country recapture the will to embrace our White American heritage and determine our destiny. If we can rekindle that, we might not have to resort to these kinds of desperate compromises. We surround them; we just need to awaken. Nothing is possible without that awakening and everything is possible with it.

Maybe we can have ourselves an American Homeland.

    New Tribe Rising?

    By

    Patrick J. Buchanan

    “Is white the new black?”

So asks Kelefa Sanneh in the subtitle of “Beyond the Pale,” his New Yorker review of several books on white America, wherein he concludes we may be witnessing “the slow birth of a people.”

Sanneh is onto something. For after a year of battering as “un-American,” “evil-doers” and racists, and praise from talk-show hosts and Sarah Palin as “the real Americans,” Tea Party America seems to be taking on a new and separate identity.

Ethnonationalism — the recognition of an embryonic people that they are different from their neighbors, and the concomitant drive to live apart — is, as Arthur Schlesinger Jr. wrote 20 years ago, a more powerful force than any ideology, be it communism, fascism or democracy.

Ethnonationalism is the pre-eminent force of the age we have entered, the creator and destroyer of empires and nations. Even as Schlesinger was writing his “Disuniting of America,” Yugoslavia and the Soviet Union were disintegrating into 22 new nations, along the lines of ethnicity. In Dagestan, Ingushetia, Chechnya, Ossetia and Abkhazia, the process proceeds apace.

It has happened before — and here.

In the American colonies, the evil institution of slavery, followed by a century of segregation, created out of the children of captured Africans who had little in common other than color a new people, the African-Americans, who went out and voted 24-to-one for Barack Obama.

In 1754, the 13 colonies consisted of South Carolinians, New Yorkers, Pennsylvanians and Virginians, all loyal subjects of the king.

But after the contemptuous treatment of colonial soldiers in the French and Indian War, the Stamp Act, the Townshend duties, the Boston Massacre, the Tea Party, the Quartering Act and the Quebec Act, by 1775 a new people had been born: the Americans.

In 1770, New York colonists had erected a statue of George III in Bowling Green in grateful tribute for his repeal of the Townshend taxes. In July 1776, they pulled it down and melted it for lead bullets after Washington read his soldiers the Declaration of Independence portraying George III as another Ivan the Terrible.

“There is no such thing as a Palestinian people,” said Golda Meir. When she said it, she may have been right. But as generations have grown up under the occupation and two intifadas and a Gaza War, the Palestinians are a people today.

Adversity and abuse increase the awareness of separate identity and accelerate the secession of peoples from each other.

Obama in the campaign of 2008 recognized that “out there” in Middle America existed another country, far from the one he grew up in, far from the privileged Ivy League community to which he belonged.

“You go into some of these small towns in Pennsylvania, and … the jobs have been gone now for 25 years. … So it’s not surprising then that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”

Palin and Tea Partiers now repeat Obama’s disparaging line about their clinging to Bibles and guns — with defiant pride.

As others have done in our multicultural and multiethnic nation, this people is beginning to assert its identity, unapologetically.

Sioux gather at Little Bighorn to celebrate the massacre of Custer’s command. Hawaiian natives demand a new ethnically based government — and receive Obama’s blessing. Hispanics march under Mexican flags in Los Angeles to demand citizenship for illegal aliens.

Now Southerners are proudly commemorating ancestors who fought and fell in the Lost Cause and demanding recognition of Confederate History Month. And state governors are acceding.

In 2004, when Howard Dean reached out to “guys with Confederate flags in their pickup trucks,” Shelby Steele wrote that this was “absolutely verboten. Racial identity is simply forbidden to whites in America” because of their history and white guilt.

This, Sanneh suggests, is changing. The imputation of racism to Tea Partiers has not intimidated or cowed them.

When Obama named Sonia Sotomayor to the Supreme Court, there was no hesitation in blistering her for showing contempt for the rights of Frank Ricci and the white firefighters of New Haven, cheated of the promotions they had won in competitive exams.

When black Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates was arrested by Cambridge cop James Crowley, most Americans, despite Obama and media suggestions of racial profiling, sided with Crowley.

Why are the Tea Partiers not intimidated the way Republicans often are? Why is the charge of racism not working?

First, they do not feel the guilt of country-club Republicans.

Second, they know it to be untrue. While Tea Partiers are anti-Obama, they are also anti-Pelosi, anti-Martha Coakley and anti-Charlie Christ. The coming conflict is not so much racial as it is cultural, political and tribal.

Black America seems united. White America is the house divided, for it is in the womb of white America that this new people is gestating and fighting to be born.

Default Reconsidered: The League of the South

    by

    Hunter Wallace

    Michael Hill, President of the
    League of the South

An OD commentator recently altered me to a Tom Sunic interview with Dr. Michael Hill of the League of the South which aired on The Sunic Journal back in April. In recent months, I had criticized the League in one of my threads. He thought the interview might be of some interest and recommended it with a short summary.

    Background

I can now report that I was pleasantly surprised. When I first discovered the League of the South eight years ago, I was initially very excited about it. Here was an impressive organization that advocated Southern independence from the United States. It seemed like the place to be.
My initial enthusiasm waned though as I learned more about the group. It seemed like the League of the South and the broader Neo-Confederate movement had caved to political correctness. Slogans like “Heritage, Not Hate” were commonly used back then. Black Confederates were played up. The Lincoln administration was attacked for its racist policies against negroes. There was a “Statement Against Racism” on the League website.
I remember coming away with a few other impressions as well. The League of the South seemed more interested in refighting the Civil War with Yankees than addressing the flood of Hispanic illegal aliens pouring across the Mexican border. It was too stridently Christian and propounded the idea the idea of an ancient ethnic antagonism between Southern Celts and Northern Anglo-Saxons.

What finally soured me on the League of the South was their unwillingness to defend White Southerners as a racial and ethnic group. They only wanted to talk about Southern culture. I remember reading a League position paper somewhere which proposed a multiracial Confederacy (White, Black, Hispanic) based on social equality. If that is the ultimate goal of Southern independence, why bother to restore the Confederacy? That’s the system we have now.

Around 2002 or 2003, I drifted out of Neo-Confederate circles. I grew interested in White Nationalism and have been involved in this scene ever since. The Southern Nationalist movement seemed like an abortion. With each passing year, I heard less and less about the League of the South until it fell off my radar screen entirely.

    The Ethnostate

During the 2000s, White Nationalism waxed and Southern Nationalism waned. There has been an internal debate within the White Nationalist community about the final location of the White ethnostate. The most popular destination in our circles has been the Northwest. A smaller number of voices have advocated the Southeast. A significant number of White Nationalists subscribe to a vision of preserving the Union and deporting all non-Whites within our borders.

Southern White Nationalists have been more reluctant to uproot themselves and migrate to other regions of the United States. The Confederacy is usually viewed in a favorable light. Southerners are more inclined to support a decentralized White Republic than a centralized National Socialist dictatorship. There is a bit of wishful thinking that blacks and Hispanics will one day disappear.

Christianity is not viewed as skeptically in the South as it is elsewhere. The Council of Conservative Citizens is a Christian organization. The Ku Klux Klan is Christian. The League of the South is Christian. Most of the Southern organizations that are labeled “hate groups” by the SPLC are more religious than secular. Most of the pagans who live in the South tend to be migrants from the Northern and Western states.

Unlike other parts of the United States, the South was once an independent nation. The bloodiest war the Union ever fought was the one against the Confederacy. For decades after the War Between the States, Southerners were allowed a kind of home rule. We enjoyed the freedom to regulate race relations according to our customs.

Southerners already have an alternative ethnic identity to fall back on. As attenuated as the Confederate tradition might be today, it nevertheless exists, and could potentially be activated again. Monuments to Confederate heroes can be found in almost any Southern town. The South has an indigenous culture and geographic borders that could become the focal point of a separatist movement.

What does the South have that the Northwest lacks? Blood, culture, history, heritage, borders, ideology, a culture of secession, racial antagonism, and latent racial consciousness. It makes more sense to build upon what already exists here than to build a nation from scratch in the Northwest.

But what about the other separatist groups? The League of the South, the Texas Nationalist Movement, and the Christian Exodus? Would they cooperate with Southern White Nationalists to promote secession from the United States?

    The League of the South

For once, the League of the South seems to have changed its tune. In the Sunic interview, Michael Hill described Sam Dickson as a good friend of many years. He seemed eager to cooperate with known racialists like James Edwards, Tom Sunic, and Kevin MacDonald in a “think tank” project. Hill also had kind words to say about Sam Francis who died in 2005.

The League seems to have given up on the idea of winning certification as a “respectable organization” from the likes of the SPLC and ADL. They have been officially listed as a “hate group” for as long as I can remember. I was browsing the SPLC “hate group” map the other day and noticed the League of the South was particularly active in Alabama and Mississippi.

According to Hill, the League hasn’t received much media attention lately because they don’t pick fights with other organizations and have been focused on the unglamorous work of building up their state and local chapters. This is exactly what I wanted to hear. It coincides with my own thinking on the subject.

As the interview continued, Dr. Hill continued to impress me: he noted that the South has always been a welcoming society and would accept White immigrants who were serious about joining us; he endorsed Southern ethnonationalism based on kith, kin, and culture; he advocated secession as a means to the end of closing our border with Mexico; he advocated loyalty to ethny, state, and local community; he encouraged secularists to join the Southern independence movement; he described the “Yankee” as a mindset toward Southerners rather than as a people.
Kowtowing to PC hasn’t won the Southern Nationalist movement any friends. Colonel Reb has been removed as the Ole Miss mascot. The Confederate flag was hauled down in Mississippi and South Carolina. The NAACP launched their boycott. The SPLC labeled the League of the South a “hate group” anyway. For two decades, every symbol of Southern heritage has been under relentless attack from Jews and blacks. These people are hostile toward Southern Whites and wish us nothing but harm. Meanwhile, Hispanics are displacing us in Texas and Florida, and now even in states like Georgia and North Carolina.

The idea that blacks can be converted to Southern Nationalism is so retarded that it is truly amazing it was ever taken seriously. The most stalwart supporters of the South have always been White racialists. What sense does it make to alienate your base to appease people who will never join you?

If the Southern independence movement ever hopes to grow, it needs to come to terms with the reality of ethnic self interest. The only people we can count on are our own folk and our racial kinsmen in other areas who consider themselves well wishers. The race based grievance groups that now exist have too much to gain from the present system to ever advocate its destruction.

Note: This is the first installment in a series of essays about the South as a potential location for a White ethnostate.

    Default Political Devolution

Well I do think that America will implode sometime in the mid to late 21st century. It is the way of large empires. Just as Rome became the nations of Western Europe and the Ottoman Empire the nations of Northern Africa and the Mid-East, so also will the U.S fragment and implode. Its not a question of if, but a question of when. A historical process is at work here. We saw a similar process at work when the U.S.S.R. imploded and became some 11 separate nations. It can, and will, happen to the U.S.
As the saying goesolitical devolution is the only solution! I know not where the future white Ethno-State will be but I seriously doubt it will be in the South (Which will be Latino and black) or the American Southwest, which will be majority Latino.

I am also not one of these people suffering from Turner Dairy Scenario (TDS) whereby I believe racially conscious whites will rise up in mass in the United States, regain control of the entire nation, and expel all non-whites. Thats a fantasy that will not happen. We need to realize that and plan accordingly!

The only problem with relying on this (as far as remaining silent in wait for this so called civil war), is that most civilizations fall slowly after the process of mongrelization is complete. If our enemies can continue to spew out entertainment and confort, most of our people will continue to the slaughter without complaint. The only way to stop this nonsense, is to participate in the cataclysm itself.

    Default Really now...

I think that we should all just decide and then go to youtube and find the black panther party wants their own nation too. So, we all just compromise on the states and the govt then has no say in it.

They did not say they wanted africa to be their nation, though they often spout about "african" communities in the usa, which to me is completely absurd because this is not GDF africa !
