What about the Palestinian view?
Israel's relentless dispossession of the Palestinian people throughout the occupied West Bank including in East Jerusalem is an intolerable injustice which threatens to incite another conflagration in the Middle East. These racist Israeli ethnic cleansing campaigns began in 1947-48, but they can't be covered up anymore by pro-Israel propagandists such as Charles Krauthammer ("Why did we turn a gaffe into a crisis?" Monitor Opinion page, March 20).
Why can't the Monitor ever publish syndicated columnists who present Palestinian perspectives?
Krauthammer ignored the fact that in 1947 the Palestinians possessed some 93 percent of the Holy Land. How unsurprising that the Palestinians resisted the U.N. Partition Plan of 1947 designed to confiscate over half their territory or continue opposing Israel's colonization efforts today.
Krauthammer failed to address Israeli terrorism and the aggressive wars it launched in 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, 2006 and again last year. He says nothing concerning decades of Israel's systemic abuse of human rights, violations of international law and virulent discrimination against it's own Palestinian citizens.
Israel has used the "peace process" initiated at Oslo to illegally transfer 500,000 Israelis onto Palestinian land building settlements and "outposts" that together with the infrastructure of the occupation controls vast areas of the West Bank. The Palestinians live in isolated, apartheid-like Bantustans.
In 1967 Israel annexed East Jerusalem which no nation recognizes as being legitimate. Israeli "neighborhoods" there exclude non-Jews and displace Palestinian families.
Palestinian aspirations for peacefully resolving this interminable tragedy depend upon the establishment of their own viable independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital, an impossible dream given Israel's expansionist policies.

This two state solution the media keeping pushing is all a lie. The Palestinians recently asked the EU to get involved to push for a two state solution and it's been brushed under the carpet.

Then it all goes very quiet.

Israel doesn't want a two state solution, they want to drive them all out and expand.
All of this with complete support of our governments.
This media coverage and push by the controllers just gives them more time to take away more of their land. They like giving the impression 'The two state solution' is still on the table.
