Thread: JEOPARDY: Can a game show reflect RACISM in America?

I enjoy watching the game show called Jeopardy ; primarily because it's one of the very few t.v. programming nowadays ,where you don't see large numbers of african-americans.

I certainly do not believe that ALEX TREBEK is a racist ,nor are the producers ;it's just that hardly any blacks are intelligent enough to qualify as contestants ;and so, this gives the game show the appearance of excluding blacks and thereby resulting in the racist appelation.

Now , in fairness, contestants of color have appeared and do so now , but most of them are orientals ,or hindus and even a latino ,now and then. And once in a blue moon you will see a black face contestant[african-american]

But the number of blacks appearing and then again winning ,if by chance they do appear,

is as rare as hen's teeth. Does this make it a truly racist game show? no, but it shows just how lacking blacks are in basic intelligence. Even blacks that have some brains are way too slow to compete on a show like jeopardy. Here 's where you need to think fast and be accurate in your responses. Things that blacks desperately lack.
The issue is not just a matter of finding qualified african-americans to appear as contestants ; it also has to do with the subject matter that contestants have to respond to.

Very little ,if any, of the world's knowledge, deals with black, or african-american history or culture.

You definitely hear the names of Latifah and michael jackson ,and the supremes and rap stars and other degenerate celebrities bandied about. : The gloved one: answer: WHO IS MICHAEL JACKSON ?? Correct. he's the one!!

But nothing beyond that is ever posed to the contestants . the truth is ,there's precious little more to black history or to the african-american presence than the depraved celebrities most of america is forced to watch. THANK YOU JOHNNY!!

I remember once there being a little controversy over the fact that there were so few Blacks on the show, implying that there was 'racism' involved, but Trebek didn't suggest dumbing the standards down or making excuses, he just stated matter of fact that there's absolutely nothing keeping Blacks from coming on the show if they can pass the initial tests and other standards. And your right about those few Blacks who do make it on the show, they usually don't last long.

The truly significant thing to note about jeopardy is how little in the way of african-american contributions have found their way into the american repository of culture ,invention and civilization .

This is best seen in the many different and eclectic categories that contestants must choose to answer from.

Very litle if anything, by way of BLACK CULTURAL CONTRIBUTIONS to society in general is offered ; At least nothing that is positive or constructive.

This is important to see and understand ,due to the fact that liberals tell us that all diverse groups in this country are of equal worth. And that all have made vital contributions that are lasting ,and without which ,we would be far for the worse.

We now can clearly see that this is totally a falacious assertion , that places on our lips the lie that all humanity must be seen as equal or else we must forever accept the racist label.
