Thread: Diversity and The White Race.

I recall using public transportation to get to my college classes and sitting across the way from me were two very light skinned young African American females .

I had an intense interest in their racial features since I was studying Anthropology and human evolutionary biology; and race was a subject that quite often came up during the open classroom discussions.

These gals were as white as could be but I noticed at once the tight wave to their hair as well as the texture of it.

Not exactly the typical nappy headed ho variety but enough to signal that they were of mixed parentage.

The color of their arms and faces was an ivory white that looked so white it could have been artificial or painted on. It lacked the pink and red hues common of aryan races .

Their noses were not wide or flat by any means but looked somewhat hooked and of average size.

Their lips were full, but again ,not the typical liver lip variety you often see on a typical negro.

It's hard to say but my guess was that they were both sisters and were one eighth Black.

When they started chatting in Spanish it all started to make sense. They were mulattas and very much in demand in their native societies .

I sat there wondering ,from where did they inherit their white blood.

Were they related to some Spanish farmer who employed their great grandparents on some sugar plantation many years ago?

In Latin cultures the goal of the more darker elements of society is to marry up; meaning marrying someone of lighter skin. This process is commonly referred to as " Improving the RACE"

These two gals had indeed improved the RACE .

But if in black race cultures marrying white or mating with someone of light color is considered an improvement ,how much more should we value maintaining our racial integrity.?




In most Latin American societies both of these two girls would be considered all White!

Hugo Chaves of venezuela would also be thought of as white race.

A person would have to look like Woopie Goldberg or Mike Vic to be classified as Black. or negro.

someone with a medium or light color skin but definitely of african heritage would NOT be classified by RACE but according to their shade of color.

Latinos quite often chose their mates less by the color of skin than by hair texture.

They place a greater distinction on that than any other racial feature.

People with kinky hair will marry each other regardless of complexion [white ,light . moderate , dark.]

Those with straight hair ,commonly referred to as GOOD HAIR, will likewise find each other attracrive , color of skin ,notwithstanding.

funny ,I know , but I used to live in Latin America , and went to school there and even worked with a team of anthropologists for several years , so I am eminently qualified to speak on this subject.

Racial Classifications in Latin America

Good research! .. Mexico is a caste society second only to India. These classifications were originally compiled by the federal government of mexico,many years ago and they are still regarded as being in effect.
