White woman raped and murdered by dirty roach

Restaurant Manager Arrested in Cori Desmond Slaying

TORRANCE -- A Redondo Beach restaurant manager has been arrested in the death of Cori Daye Desmond.

35-year old Tony Lopez Perez was arrested Thursday night after he went to sheriff's headquarters for questioning, said Cindy Beavers, a spokeswoman for the Sheriff's Department.

Detectives said an anonymous tip led them to Perez, who sold his Dodge Durango and bought a new car after Desmond's slaying.

"Information was that Tony Perez, soon after the murder, was scrubbing and cleaning the inside of his Dodge Durango and sold his vehicle on the fourth of March to a dealership in the Los Angeles area," said Lt. Frank Gonzalez of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.

Unknown evidence was recovered from the Durango, according to detectives.

Sheriff's Lt. Rick Els said Perez and Desmond did not know each other and that the motive was a sex assault.

Perez was booked on suspicion of murder and is being held without bail.

He will be arraigned next week.

Desmond, 28, was last seen February 15 leaving the Bac Street Lounge on Artesia Boulevard in Redondo Beach.

Her Jeep was found parked near the bar, but her body was found the next day in a bag at the side of a highway near Running Springs.

Investigators have not disclosed the cause of death, but said she appeared to suffer from blunt force trauma.

Mark Desmond printed at least 100 bumper stickers and handed them out to friends, family and businesses in Redondo Beach.

He says as long as he can keep this going, he won't give up.

"These people are still out there and this could happen to anybody's daughter... anybody."

White nun murdered by redskin buck

Teen Charged with Murdering Nun on Indian Reservation

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- A teenager was charged Friday with killing a nun after allegedly breaking into her trailer home on the Navajo Indian reservation in search of cash or valuable items.

Federal authorities accused Reehahlio Carroll of Navajo of "unlawful killing of a human being with malice aforethought" in the death of 64-year-old Sister Marguerite Bartz, who served at St. Berard Catholic Church.

The federal complaint listed his year of birth as 1991, making him 17 or 18.

Navajo Nation criminal complaints listed his age as 19. Carroll's attorney, Robert Gorence, said he had no comment on the case and hoped to meet with his client Friday.

Carroll reportedly told investigators he broke into her trailer home looking for cash or valuable items when Bartz struck him in the face with a shoe, the criminal complaint said.

He hit her with a flashlight, knocking her to the ground, then hit her in the head five or six times and kicked her in the back and face, the complaint said.

Carroll left the room, searching for more items in the trailer, but heard Bartz screaming.

"In an effort to silence the woman, Reehahlio Carroll took a black shirt that was in the room and, while standing over the woman's body, tied the shirt over the woman's mouth, fastening the shirt with a knot tied at the back of the woman's head," the complaint said.

Bartz's body was discovered Sunday by another nun.

Friends and co-workers said Bartz was dedicated to working with the poor and oppressed and often counseled those with difficulties in the depressed town.

Carroll was arrested Thursday and charged under Navajo law with the unauthorized use of a car that had belonged to Bartz that was stolen four days after her murder, Navajo Nation court records and authorities said.

Woman bleeds to death after doctor punctures jugular while inserting a drip

A young woman bled to death in hospital after a doctor punctured her jugular vein after failing to follow NHS guidelines while inserting a drip into her neck.

Sally Thompson, 20, from Middleton, an administration assistant with Rochdale council, had suffered from a rare blood disorder from childhood.

She was admitted to the MRI in August 2005 complaining of weakness in her legs, and then began suffering fits.

Dr Jaydeep Mandal, a critical care specialist registrar, used a technique known as 'landmark' to find the blood vessel, but when the tube was inserted, i
t pierced the vein and caused internal bleeding.

The inquest heard that the 'landmark' technique was contrary to National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) guidelines, which recommend using ultrasound to reduce the risk of complications.

Man Held in Deadly Road Rage Attack

SAN FRANCISCO -- A 21-year-old man is being held on three counts of murder related to a road rage shooting that killed a father and two of his sons.

Eileen Hirst, a spokeswoman for the Sheriff's Department, says Edwin Ramos of El Sobrante is being held without bail in the San Francisco County Jail after being arrested at his home Wednesday. Authorities say Ramos denies he committed the murders.

Police say Tony Bologna was driving home Sunday when he was forced to stop in an intersection, blocking the path of another car. Bologna backed up to allow the other driver through.

But someone from that car shot at Bologna's vehicle, killing him and his 20-year-old son Michael. Tony Bologna's youngest son, 16-year-old Matthew, was pronounced dead Tuesday after being taken off of life support.

At Westword's request, Kimbrough asked prosecutors why the "white" part of the "white bitches" comment was left off the indictment; they were unsure of why it was omitted, but "it wasn't intentional," she says (That's because the victim --right-- "intentionally" run over was white and the prosecutors are cowards. -- Ed.).

Parker and Goodrich explained how two women and a man in a Cadillac had pulled up behind Parker's Honda in the Burger King drive-thru line, and how a dispute over a cigarette request had led to a chaotic altercation in the parking lot. Parker told investigators that the w
omen in the Cadillac had repeatedly referred to themselves as "Mexicans" and said they were going to kill the "stupid white bitches." The last thing she heard them say before the Cadillac plowed into her mother, Parker remembered, was "Let's just f---ing hit them."

Verdonkschot died at the hospital several hours later, and the hit-and-run case was officially declared a homicide. Police pulled records that showed the Cadillac was registered to 26-year-old Nadine Montoya, who was living at her mother's house in Westminster. The Cadillac was there, but Montoya wasn't. Then investigators noticed that the car had been stopped two weeks earlier after it had been "reported to have been used in an attempt to run a woman over in an alley," according to a May 30 affidavit. The alleged driver in that incident was listed as Dawn Gonzales, whose photo was tentatively ID'd by Parker. The 23-year-old Gonzales was quickly arrested, only t
o be released two days later when police pinpointed Montoya as the driver. After three weeks on the run, she turned herself in to Westminster police. On July 29, two months after Verdonkschot's death, a grand jury indicted Montoya on five felony charges, including first-degree murder and leaving the scene of an accident.

    Woman Describes Fighting Purse-Snatcher

Victim Left Beaten, Frightened After Ordeal

OMAHA, Neb. -- An Omaha woman who said she was left bruised, beaten and scared after fighting off a purse snatcher in a parking lot wants her attacker caught.

"I never thought it would happen to me," said Robin Warren.

She said she was left with stitches on her face and a bandage covering a deep gash in her forehead after the confrontation near 36th and Q streets on Tuesday.

"He didn't get away with my purse because I wouldn't let him have it," she said.

She said she was in the south Omaha parking lot a
    t about 7 p.m. on Tuesday.

"I looked up and I see him running across the parking lot," she said. "He goes, 'I want your purse.' He said that twice. I said no twice and that's when he struck me."

She said the attacker punched her in the face, knocking her out cold.

Witness Michelle Quinze was there when Warren regained consciousness.

"That's when she told me, 'He tried to take my purse' and I was like, 'You mean to tell me that you were mugged' and she was like, 'Yeah,'" Quinze said. "She was shaking quite a bit."

The two women called police but the attacker got away.

"I'm scared," said Warren. "I'm nervous. I'm afraid to go back out any more."

Warren said she could have been killed. She's asking for help finding the man who hurt her.

"I don't want this guy to get away because he might go out and do it to somebody else and they might not be so lucky," she said.

Police said Warren described the attacker as a
    Hispanic man
in his mid 20s who was wearing a ring or some type of jewelry. The police report indicates he may have hit Warren with a blunt object.

An 81-year-old spic accused of shooting to death the owner of a Dinuba antiques store Tuesday has been charged with murder.

In addition, Ernest Figueroa Perez of Reedley faces felony counts of forcible lewd acts upon a child, attempted sodomy on somebody younger than 14 and causing injury to an elderly adult.

Perez, who is being held without bail, pleaded not guilty Thursday to the charges during an arraignment at the Tulare County Adult Pre-trial facility north of Visalia.

Don Gallian, assistant district attorney for Tulare County, would not discuss specifics of the charges, but he did say prosecut
ors believe the murder charge and the abuse charges are connected.

Dinuba police, responding to an anonymous tip, went to Antiques and Things in the 7000 block of Avenue 416, and found the store's owner, Ronald Whisenant, 73, dead of a gunshot wound.

Interviews with people who knew Whisenant led investigators to Perez, and they arrested him, police report.

Authorities have said the two men had a business relationship, and Tulare County court records show they had been involved in an eviction dispute since mid-July.

Perez is scheduled to be in court in Visalia on Aug. 25 for a bail hearing as well as his preliminary hearing.

Police Officer Killed In Line Of Duty

Police: Sergio Robles Killed Officer Jesse Hamilton
    POSTED: Friday, August 21, 2009
    UPDATED: 6:23 pm CDT August 21, 2009

    Officer Jesse Hamilton

    Sergio Robles

    Quote:
PASADENA, Texas -- A Pasadena police officer was killed in the line of duty on Friday, KPRC Local 2 reported.

Pasadena police said Officer Jesse Hamilton's first call of the day was a family disturbance call at a mobile home park on Joe Street near Bob Street at about 6 a.m.

    Detectives said that Hamilton a
rrived at the scene and began talking to Olga Garcia, Sergio Robles' mother, who was standing on the front porch of her trailer.

Robles' mother told Hamilton that her son inside the trailer and was armed. Investigators said the mother had originally told the dispatcher that no one was armed.

Hamilton went back to his car to call for help, officials said.

Robles, 24, fired shots at Hamilton, police said. Hamilton, 29, was shot in the head. He was taken by helicopter to Memorial Hermann Hospital, where he died.

Police said a other officers arrived at the scene three minutes after Hamilton called for backup. The officers found Robles with a gun and standing over Hamilton, detectives said. Robles pointed his gun at the backup officers and one shot Robles in the head, investigators said.

Robles was also taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital. He was in serious condition and expected to survive.

Detectives said Robles has been charged with capital murder
and aggravated assault for allegedly pointing his weapon at the officer who shot him.

Investigators said Hamilton had been with the department since 2005. He received four letters of commendation and was named the officer of the month in December 2005.

Hamilton leaves behind a wife and two children.

"I think that has some level of emotion on everybody, whether people knew the officer or not," Capt. Bud Corbett said. "I saw the impact it had on some of the reporters when I told them. I think it has some level of impact along that line for anybody who hears it."

Hamilton was a 1999 graduate of Deer Park High School and majored in graphic arts at San Jacinto College.

    The shooting shocked area residents.

"I go to my neighbor and she said she heard one gunshot and a freaking scream," said a woman who only identified herself as Jacqueline. "I just comforted her for a while because she was in sick shock. This has never happened in our neighborhood, or here in our neig
hborhood, so it’s a shock for us."

The 100 Club will give Hamilton's family a $10,000 check to assist with their immediate needs. The club will review the family's situation and give them additional support for current financial and the children's education needs.

Hamilton is the fourth Pasadena police officer to be killed in the line of duty.

Robles Has Criminal Past; Won Judgment Against Police

The man accused of killing a Pasadena police officer Friday has been in trouble before, KPRC Local 2 reported.

Robles was released from the Harris County Jail on Thursday after serving time on a drunken driving charge.

Robles has also been arrested on another drunken driving charge and on charges of discharging a firearm in a neighborhood.

Earlier this year, Robles won a civil rights lawsuit he filed against the Santa Fe Police Department, whose officers were found to have used excessive force when they arrested him on Aug. 21, 2006.

    The beati
ng was captured on dashcam video. Robles was cleared on charges of assault and resisting arrest.

Robles was awarded a $125,000 settlement. Neither side admitted fault in the incident.

Attorney Brian Wice said Robles' history can be used against him.

"The big picture is the one that the jury is ultimately going to see," Wice said. "If not during the guilt/innocence stage, certainly during the punishment phase."

Robles had a history of mental problems, police said.

    Teenager killed in shooting
Two men sought in incident at drive-in

Kenosha Police are continuing their search for two suspects in an armed robbery that ended with the killing of a Somers teenager Sunday night.

Robert W. Wilde, a student at Indian Trail Academy, was killed during a robbery at Shirl’s Drive-In, 7943 Sheridan Road, at about 9:40 p.m.

Wilde, one of six people working at the restaurant and ice cream shop during the robbery, was found lying outside the building by police who responded to a 911 call from employees. He was later pronounced dead at Kenosha Medical Center.

The store’s 42-year-old manager, James Hagelund, was also shot and was treated and released from the same hospital.

Sgt. Hugh Rafferty said police investigators spent Mond
ay interviewing people, working at the crime scene, and following up on telephone tips.

Kenosha Police were called to Shirl’s at 9:39 p.m. Sunday for reports of an armed robbery with shots fired.

Police believe that two masked suspects, one armed with a gun and one with a knife, entered the restaurant through a back door as employees were preparing to close for the night.

The two men demanded money and took an undetermined amount of cash from the restaurant after shooting two employees, Rafferty said.

Police said there were four female employees, ages 17 to 20, in the restaurant when the robbery occurred. Rafferty said one of the women was able to lock herself in the bathroom, Two others fled outside and hid by a neighboring business, while the fourth hid inside the restaurant.

Rafferty said it is unclear whether Wilde was shot outside the restaurant, or whether he made his way outside after the shooting.

“It’s just a little ice cream stand. I don’t understand
it. If you’re going to rob someone, just take the money and leave,” said Shirl’s owner Rudy Wiesztort. He said this was the first time either of his shops — the other one is in Zion, Ill. — had been robbed.

Police are seeking two suspects both described as Hispanic men between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall.

One suspect was described as having long hair and was wearing a tan parka, blue shirt, camouflaged pants and a black mask at the time of the shooting.

The other suspect is described as wearing a red or brown parka or sweatshirt, a green shirt, tan shorts and a black mask.

Their ages and other information are unknown at this time.

The investigation and ensuing manhunt involved members of the Kenosha Police Department, Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department, Pleasant Prairie Police Department, police dogs and Air-One, an Illinois-based helicopter.

Any person with information about this situation is encouraged to call the Kenosha Police Department (262) 6
05-5210. Anyone wishing to remain anonymous and be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000 can call Kenosha Area Crime Stoppers at (262) 656-7333 or (800) 807-8477.

A Honduran man was convicted Wednesday of murdering a woman in the Kenner auto body shop where he worked and lived because, he claimed, she "insulted his manhood."

    Rony Omar Arias-Chavarria, 36
, is guilty of the second-degree murder of Bobbie Joe Hulsey, 21, on Sept. 10, 2007. He faces mandatory life in prison when sentenced Aug. 25 by Judge John Molaison of the 24th Judicial
    District Court.

Hulsey, a native of Ventura, Calif., and the mother of a 6-year-old daughter, moved to the area about six years ago. She lived in a Kenner motel and worked as a prostitute on the streets, meeting Arias-Chavarria outside a convenience store near the motel, according to testimony.

"I didn't agree with it, " her older sister Charity DeSilva testified of Hulsey's lifestyle. "We hated what she did, but we couldn't change her mind."

A grass-cutter, Thomas Dimm, testified he found Hulsey's body, dressed only in a red striped shirt, lying amid trash in a wooded lot in the 2400 block of Helena Street on the morning of Sept. 10, 2007.

She had been strangled and sexually mutilated, forensic pathologist Karen Ross testified.

"It wasn't a quick death," said Assistant District Attorney Megan Gorman, who prosecuted the case with Ken Bordelon.

Arias-Chavarria, who could speak little English and was in the United States illegally, had lived i
n Medina's One Stop, an auto body shop, about two weeks before he met Hulsey, who gave him her cell phone number. The encounter took place in the shop's business office.

Arias-Chavarria confessed to Kenner Police Department Detective Trey Hille days later. Arias-Chavarria told Hille that Hulsey laughed at him "because she say it's small," according to a recording of the interview. He said he became angry.

"Then I say to her that is normal, " he told Hille, but she continued to laugh. "I lost my control. I take care of her."

He said he put her body over his shoulder and carried it out the shop's back door to the vacant lot.

A Jefferson Parish jury deliberated 30 minutes in rejecting the defense claim that Arias-Chavarria committed manslaughter, driven in "the heat of passion, " as his attorney Alex Lambert argued. That charge carries up to 40 years in prison.

The comments provoked Arias-Chavarria in such a way that would deprive "an average man"
of his "cool reflection, " Lambert said, reciting the state's manslaughter law.

Lambert also said his client's confession was largely taken out of context because of the language difference. Arias-Chavarria responded to police questions in both English and Spanish.

But Bordelon defended the police interrogation, saying Hille used two Spanish-speaking officers to assist.

"The police took every precaution possible as a safeguard to make sure there were no communications problems, " Bordelon said.

    $25K Offered For Kidnapped Officer

Deputies: Julio Reyes Kidnapped Rachel Hillsman
    POSTED: Wednesday, August 19, 2009
    UPDATED: 12:20 pm CDT August 19, 2009

Hostage Released; Suspect Kills Self - Houston News Story - KPRC Houston#BROOKSHIRE, Texas -- A $25,000 reward has been offered for the safe return of a kidnapped Katy Independent School District officer, KPRC Local 2 reported Wednesday.

The Waller County Sheriff's Department said Julio Reyes, 38, kidnapped his ex-girlfriend, Rachel Hillsman, 24, at about 6 a.m. Tuesday. They are both Katy ISD officers.

Waller County Sheriff Glenn Smith said Hillsman and Reyes got into a verbal fight on Monday night. It was so bad
that she stayed at her mother's house that night with her children, a 7-year-old and a 13-month-old. Reyes is the 13-month old's father, investigators said.

Investigators said Reyes attacked Hillman as she was leaving her mother's house with the children.

"They left in his truck. The grandmother got the children," said Smith.

A trace amount of blood was found at the scene, Smith said.

"There was a struggle there at the gate, at the vehicle, but as far as the actual knowing who's blood it was, we don't know," Smith said.

Hillsman's family issued a plea to Reyes.

"If Trey can see us, please bring her home," said Eva Henry, Hillsman's aunt. "Please."

Youth members at First Baptist Church in Brookshire gathered Wednesday to pray for her safe return.

"It's shocking that something like this happened, especially to someone you know and care about," said Ashley Zegarrundo.

According to deputies, Reyes was driving a 2002 dark green Fo
rd pickup truck with Texas license plate 87V DP7. The truck has a Harley Davidson sticker on the back window.

Investigators set up 13 checkpoints in the Brookshire area. Detectives said they checked vehicles because it was possible that Reyes could have changed vehicles.

"We feel real strong that the possibility of switching a vehicle, having already a hiding place to go to, is very, very likely," Smith said.

Detectives concentrated their search Wednesday in an area north of Brookshire. Investigators planned to use helicopters to search for signs of the two.

Reyes is considered armed and dangerous. He is an avid outdoorsman, investigators said.

"The suspect of this has been with Katy ISD police since May of 1999 and the victim since January of 2006," said Steve Stanford with Katy ISD.

Crime Stoppers has offered a $5,000 reward and $20,000 in private donations have been made, bringing the reward total to $25,000.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the W
aller County Sheriff's Department at 979-826-8266.

    Kidnapped Officer Safe; Suspect Dead
    POSTED: Thursday, August 20, 2009
    UPDATED: 8:48 am CDT August 20, 2009

Kidnapped Officer Safe; Suspect Dead - Houston News Story - KPRC HoustonBROOKSHIRE, Texas -- A kidnapped Katy Independent School District police officer was released Wednesday by her attacker, a fellow officer and ex-boyfriend who committed suicide after a standoff that lasted for hours, KPRC Local 2 reported.

Waller County sheriff's deputies said Rachel Hillsman, 24, was kidnapped by Julio Reyes, 38, outside her mother's home on Tuesday morning.

SWAT officers surrounded a vacant home Wednesday where Reyes was keeping Hillsman. Negotiators spoke to Reyes by cell phone for eight hours, asking him to releas
    e Hillsman.

Investigators said Reyes said he was thinking about killing himself.

"Officer Hillsman came down the stairs running and officers protected her until she was out of the house safe. Moments later, there was a single gunshot that came from upstairs inside the home. That's when Reyes shot himself," Sheriff Glen Smith said.

Hillsman's family said she and Reyes had a 13-month-old child together. Hillsman also has a 7-year-old daughter from a previous relationship.

Investigators said because both Hillsman and Reyes are law enforcement officers, the ending was bittersweet.

After collecting evidence from inside the home, investigators said they believe Reyes purchased several items before kidnapping Hillsman. Detectives said they believe he planned the kidnapping for several days.

Drunk faggot murdered by drug dealer

Confession in murder of Pace student: Police question drug dealer suspect

Detectives are interviewing a drug dealer who confessed to killing a Pace University student who was found dead in his Chelsea apartment with a cord around his neck and a plastic bag shoved down his throat, police sources said.

The 22-year-old suspect, who was not immediately identified, was at a Queens precinct last night on an unrelated charge when he stunned investigators by admitting he murdered 19-year-old Kevin Pravia, sources said.

The suspect has not been charged, police said.

Pravia's roommate, Josephine Madonna, found the victim, wearing only his boxers, in their W. 15th St. apartment Sunday night. Police said Pravia, a sophomore at Pace, was intoxicated when he stumbled into a cab about 5:30 a.m. Saturday. He had just left a party near the South Street Seaport, police said.

Thirty minutes later, Pravia was in Union Square looking to score drugs and crossed paths with the suspect, the drug dealer told cops.

The suspect offered to sell him drugs and the two men then returned to Pravia's home where the boozed-up student fell asleep.

The suspect confessed to punching the sleeping student, fastening an electrical cord around his neck, stuffing a plastic bag down his throat and smothering him with a pillow, the police sources said.

The alleged attacker told cops he did not engage in any sexual activity with Pravia, sources said.

The man then grabbed the honor student's laptop computer, cell phone and iPod before running from the apartment about 11 a.m. He told investigators he sold the laptop on the street and the cell phone at a nearby store.

Investigators have recovered the cell phone, police said. The suspect is being held at the 10th Precinct in Chelsea.

Pravia, who was gay, was known as a hard-partyer who dated a lot of men and would sometimes use drugs in social settings, sources said.

Texas Teen Found Dead in Oregon Apartment
    Updated on 7/30/2007 4:26:31 AM

    Quote:
A Texas teen visiting her sister was found dead early Saturday at a Milwaukie, Oregon apartment, and detectives are investigating her death as a homicide. The sheriff's office identified the girl as 15-year-old Dani J. Countryman of Kaufman.

    Dani J. Countryman(Left)

Authorities said she was in the area visiting her sister, Ashley Countryman of Oregon City. Dani Countryman's body was found inside an apartment.Deputies said the complex is a problem spot for them. In July alone, they have received various complaints about drinking, fighting and loud parties, they said.

An autopsy was expected to be completed Sunday to determine how the 15-year-old died. Early reports suggest the girl was strangled to death but have yet to be confirmed.

The Clackamas County Sheriff's Department office said 16-year-old Dani Countryman of Kaufman was reported dead around 8 a.m. Saturday.

Frank Rivera awoke to the screams of a young woman. "She was yelling, very high-pitched," he recalled. "I couldn't make out what she was saying."

Rivera lives in a trailer next to the Balboa Apartments, where Dani lost her life. "I walked up to the fence over there and I looked around and it was quiet by then, but she was inside the house and still screaming—she was distraught."

Stunned neighbors watched as investigators combed the area for evidence.

On Friday night, the fire department was summoned to help a man who was passed out from too much alcohol. Deputies don't yet know whether that call was linked to the teen's death.

One neighbor called it a "fly-by-night" complex where "people come and go."

Rivera said he didn't see anyone coming or going from the scene of the crime. He added that he hopes to never hear screams like Dani Countryman's again.

America’s Most Forgotten is dedicated to all of the innocent people and their families who have been victimized by illegal aliens as a result of the refusal of our elected officials to enforce United States immigration law and to secure our borders. Americans remain unprotected from this unwanted invasion of unidentified people from across the world. No region of the country has been spared and the citizens presented come from all walks of life. Crisscrossing the nation, we have a predominantly African-American neighborhood in LA, then we skip to an affluent, successful woman in New York City and then to a rural Mississippi family hoping to escape big city crime a
nd then to a Native American in small town. And on, and on, and on...

    Connecticut – Christina Long

A 13-year-old girl was sexually assaulted and strangled to death by a 25-year-old illegal alien online predator.
