ADHD prescriptions to children have spiked amid growing concerns of abuse

A major new study has revealed that prescription medications for childhood attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) have spiked, a conclusion bound to fuel the increasing concern that these drugs are being misused and abused.

The study by the Food and Drug Administration, published online today, found that overall prescriptions for antibiotics dropped between 2002 and 2010.

Among those that dipped were cough medications, by 42 percent. In 2008, the FDA issued an advisory against over-the-counter drugs for minor coughs and colds in young children.

Ritalin is a Cocaine like, hard drug, used to treat the so-called problem of Attention-Deficit-Hyperactivity-Disorder (ADHD). The true reason for it's use is to dumb down and pacify intelligent active boys and some girls, so that they will not cause problems for their teachers, when they are placed in the anti-boy environment called school!

If it were true that so-called ADHD children had a biologically caused attention deficit then they would not be able to do any task requiring intense concentration. Specifically, they would not be able to play video games, because of the concentration required!

But so-called ADHD boys are avid players of video games, and concentrate so well that it is very difficult to pry such a boy from his game!

Therefore, ADHD does not exist, but is just an excuse to discriminate against boys and some active girls, and drug them with the very hard drug: Ritalin (Methylphenidate)!

Ritalin and Cocaine are both dopamine reuptake inhibitors, however Ritalin is about twice a strong as Cocaine, and the effect lasts much longer. Try searching Google using the search term: Methylphenidate Cocaine.

Anyone who would give such drugs to kids belongs in jail, except giving Ritalin to kids should carry double the jail term as pushing Cocaine to kids now does!

That is exactly what my doctor said about ADHD.

As a former taker of prescription Adderall (pure amphetamine salts) for "ADHD," I fully agree with this statement. When I was 15, in spite of my 3.8 GPA, my parents were told by the school that I needed to be treated for ADHD due to my inattentiveness in class (which was dumbed down for everyone else and therefore not challenging). Although it allowed me greater focus, it was only an excuse of the public school system to shift the blame for its ineffectiveness onto me, the student, and away from where it rightfully belonged, with the teachers and liberalized education system. It was not until I was 19 and a freshmen at university that I realized this was a ploy to make me dependent on the pharmaceutical industry at the expense of my own health and stopped taking the medication.

The pharmaceutical industry does not exist to help people, it exists to make profit; it does this by releasing drugs that pacify and streamline society, without concern for safety and only concern for money. That is why harmless nonaddictive drugs, like cannabis, are illegal and dangerous addictive drugs, like amphetamines, remain, not only legal, but promoted. Anything to get more mindless drones for society, willing to churn out one more box at the factory, and reduce us all to mere human capital.

Tyr, have you considered filing a pro se lawsuit against the "Doctor" who prescribed you with this hard drug, along with the school who recommended it for a 3.8 gpa student and maybe the drug company also! Any of these might want to settle with you to avoid the unfavorable publicity, likely to ensue!

perhaps, but in the end I see it as most likely being a waste of money on legal fees;
In the end the drug companies have enough faux-studies and lawyers to stifle individual efforts, and would probably not do anything to help me.

A pro se lawsuit is one you file and pursue yourself, Without a lawyer, thus no legal fees, but your opponents, or their insurance companies, will have legal fees!

Psychiatrists Drugging Children for 'Social Justice'

It’s the latest thing. Psychiatrists are now giving children in poor neighborhoods Adderall, a dangerous stimulant, by making false diagnoses of ADHD, or no diagnoses at all. Their aim? To “promote social justice,” to improve academic performance in school.The rationale is, the drugged kids will now be able to compete with children from wealthier families who attend better schools.
Leading the way is Dr. Michael Anderson, a pediatrician in the Atlanta area. Incredibly, Anderson told the New York Times his diagnoses of ADHD are “made up,” “an excuse” to hand out the drugs.
“We’ve decided as a society that it’s too expensive to modify the kid’s environment. So we have to modify the kid,” Anderson said.
It would be hard to find a clearer mission statement from a psychiatrist: mind control.
