Default Homeschoolers win round against United Nations

Homeschoolers have won a round in the long fight against the crackdown on family rights contained in the United Nation's Convention on the Rights of the Child, but experts say they need to keep up their guard.

The convention, which is not yet ratified in the United States but has been adopted by numerous other nations, orders that children can choose their own religion with parents only having the authority to advise them, the government can override a parent's decision regarding a child if a social worker disagrees, a child has a right to a government review of every parental decision and Christian schools would violate the law if they refused to teach children "alternative worldviews."

And all corporal punishment, such as spankings, would be banned by law.

The conflict had arisen over legislation that was proposed in the United Kingdom, called the Children, Schools and Families Bill, that would have set into law many of the provisions and issues demanded by the U.N. plan.

--- A double-edged sword. This is really the degeneration of home school, in a sense.

It is evolving into the ideal situation, where parents PAY FOR PUBLIC SCHOOLS, yet do not use them (opening them for foreign students from around the world).

So... home school can be expected to grow, but with more regulations, and there is already NO QUESTION of fixing Public schools, so people paying for them CAN USE THEM, (like on t.v., they are "fixed" for not poor whites, but minorities who are said to be not up to snuff with 'home school."

this will evolve ---possibly-- into "nice" home school parents inviting public school students into their homes for "lessons."

This trend is to ever poorer whites (becoming more impoversished) "home school," and are regulated so it's basically the same as "public" school, anyway, but now they pay for both.

---- Many have wound up HS merely for Physical Protection of kids (home school is safer physically).

With increased scriptedness of what can legally be taught at "home," people will continue to HS for safety reasons, but the ideological impetus for it, initially, will be lost.

    Wow!
This sounds like they do not want the parents to have any authority whatsoever! And forcing the Christian schools to teach "alternate worldviews", it sounds as if they are directing the child to the discretion of the social worker.
