Music of White people.
From what i gather, todays American country music has evolved from traditional folk music from the Celtic tribes now living in Scotland and Ireland.
There are too many artists to mention, so ill just tell you im a really big Merle fan. |

I like country too :)
Merle is one of my favorites of old, George Strait is the king and Alan Jackson wrote the song that made america see he was their friend.
EmmyLouHarris sang a song when I was a teen I think that was about freedom of her own persona.....I cannot remember the name of it. I lived this music all my life, and my daddy knew Andy Williams. He used to come to our house in Michigan. There are a lot of country songs that define the difference between men and women too. They sing about life. They also sing some great gospels, even Elvis did that  There are so many of them now, men and women, young and old that I can no longer keep track of them. |

An artist that...
is stunning is Hank Williams III. As I listened to him for the first I was awe struck at how he sounded just like his GrandDad!
He is a total heretic and is ostracised by the music world but oh my! His music is pure country to me...hope you enjoy him as well. Dave |

Country music may not be cool to young folks today, but in time they will realize its what sets out apart from the rest.
