As far as I can tell, the words "government" and "criminal" have the same meaning!

In another article is says that the Criminal Government Agents seized more personal property from a 60 year old man who was a legal firearms dealer.

The Government seizing private property is the Criminal, not the Victim!

Since I was looking into this, I found another article where Criminal Government Agents had seized 11 handguns, which would have been worth, at the most here in Texas (if they were brand new semi auto pistols) about $5,500, but since the Criminals in the Government declared that ownership is "illegal" the paper quoted the value as $50,000.

It seems to me that a mark up like that would just encourage folks to smuggle them into the country!

And, that the most likely folks to buy smuggled guns would be the criminal element (that is not actually in the government) and the least likely to be armed would be the law abiding Citizens (Victims).

How is any of that a good thing?

It's not and they want our people to be victoms so we'll want protection. Who will provide this protection but the criminal government themselfs. Look at what they did to citizen in Katrina for that was totally wrong and unjustifible.

How did this happen in Australia?

Unlike the States our right to bear arms is not enshrined in our constitution, it is based on English "Common Law" and Magna Carta.

Yes - the general consensus with those I speak to is that the Shooters were Israelis and the Oz SAS team was deployed to stop this team.

If the government makes owning a semi-auto the same penalty as a machine gun, then you might as well own a machine gun, and maybe some rocket launchers too.

There are 75 million AK47s in the world, I wonder how long until they start turning up in the black market in Australia. Then the Australian government will really have a lot to worry about, and don't expect any gun registration to work with those.
