Posted on December 3, 2011
A bill put forward by Congressman Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) would do what libertarians and conservatives have long wished for: effectively end the Federal Reserve.
The National Emergency Employment Defense (NEED) Act of 2011 would place the Federal Reserve, a private, qusai-governmental institution that controls the nation’s monetary policy, under control of the U.S. Treasury. It would also implement new rules for the financial industry, in hopes of ending the worst abuses that created the 2008 financial collapse and the ensuing recession.
Listening to Kucinich speak about the Fed, one gets the sense that he’s moved even closer to the position typically championed by his polar opposite in the House, arch-conservative Congressman Ron Paul (R-TX), currently a candidate for the Republican nomination to the presidency.
Dennis Kucinich | End The Fed H.R. 2990
http://exchangegoldforcash.com/money...et-protesters/At least someone from Capital Hill, Congressman Dennis Kucinich, is stepping up to the demands of the 99% [#OccupyWallStreet Movement] by initiating a bill to End the Fed, and return to Honest [legal] money. Will H.R. 2990 have a chance? It is doubtful that President Obama would sign such a bill. We must however, appreciate Congressman Dennis Kucinich initiation of starting legislation that may bring honest solutions, for this nation, at least on the table.
Verbiage within the bill states:
“The enactment of the Federal Reserve Act in 1913 by Congress effectively delegated the sovereign power to create money, to the Federal Reserve system and private financial industry.”
In lay man terms, Congress, in 1913 gave the [too big to fail] Banks the rights to create money, and took it away from Congress. This was not Constitutional, and an amendment to the Constitution, in that regards, does not exist.

"Ohio Democratic Rep. Dennis Kucinich thanked Texas Republican Rep. Ron Paul for his “diligence” in advocating for a bill that would give the Government Accountability Office the authority to fully audit the Federal Reserve, adding that it is “baloney” to suggest Congress cannot “touch the Fed.”
The legislation moved through the House Oversight Committee and Government Reform Committee on Wednesday.
“Today, as this nation continues to deal with the effects of the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression, we know for a fact that trillions were created by the Fed during the financial crisis, largely for the benefit of the biggest financial institutions, which brought us to crisis in the first place. Yet the Fed’s monetary policy operations remain largely exempt from scrutiny,” Kucinich said in a statement Wednesday."

I missed this! Time to promote an article!
Live a good life. If there are gods and they are just, then they will not care how devout you have been, but will welcome you based on the virtues you have lived by. If there are gods but unjust, then you should not want to worship them. If there are no gods, then you will be gone, but will have lived a noble life that will live on in the memories of your loved ones. I am not afraid. - M. Aurelius
