A Latvian citizen, Uldis Freimanis, will face trial, accused of Nazi propaganda.
On Thursday, he arranged a parade in Riga marking the anniversary of the 1941 Nazi’s invasion into Latvia.
Latvia’s Interior Minister Linda Murniece told the Baltkom radio station that the event was aimed at dishonoring Latvia.
Earlier, Riga’s Duma declined a request to hold this parade, which Freimanis challenged at court.
However, the police prevented the parade.
