A good friend of mine is from Russia, she's only been in the states for about 10 years now. She feels the same way. Putin is bad news.

When it comes to Russia, I have never quite understood the apprehensiveness by some American white nationalists toward thiscountry forging its own path.

During the Cold War the white nationalist and anti-communist movement would label the Russian people as "Asiatic" while taking out their trusted copy of Madison Grant's "Passing of the Great Race" to prove to the "Nordic superman" that in fact like the Greeks, Italians, Finns, Serbs, Hungarians and on and on... that the Russians were not white but Asiatic.

With the end of the Cold War and the death of Soviet communism, the white nationalist crowd cheered and loved that Russia was the final and only "White hope" of our people. Now that one individual Vladimir Putin has not embraced all the splintered "nationalist"movements, he is now an Asiatic, communist, non-white Eurasianist calling for the resurrection of the USSR.

Of course these same white nationalist conveniently ignore that most of the "nationalist" movements in Russia look to the East for economic partnership rather than the West, and the most nationalistic politicians such as Vladimir Zhirinovsky who's English biography is titled "My Struggle" wants not only to reclaim most of what was formerly the USSR, but also United States territory such as Alaska.

As is apparaent in Russia, false bravado of who is the biggest, baddest, chauvinistic nationalist doesn't go over to well. Putin knows this, that is why he is in power and tremendously popular among the people.
