Internet's memory effects quantified in computer study

Computers and the internet are changing the nature of our memory, research in the journal Science suggests.

I noticed that my ability to recall specific things that I've read has diminished somewhat, I have no doubt that the internet is to blame. I started forcing my self to memorize directions and grocery lists and other things just to keep myself sharp, as opposed to writing them down.

Although, it is interesting how it changes how people remember, as opposed to just impeding their ability to remember. It just shows how our brains are capable of adapting to new stimuli.

I believe this is true about the internet. I think TV is an even worse problem.
I think man prior to the Industrial Revolution was actually smarter, ecking out existence in a hostile world without technology.
I think people who can survive in the wilderness by their wits end are much smarter than someone who just passed courses in school.
And I have two degrees and I am saying this because I believe it to be true.
