Thread: Halifax hails Chinese navy

Chinese naval ships visited Canada’s West Coast in 2000 and 2006, but this marks the first time one has visited Halifax, navy Lt. Edward Stansfield, a Canadian navy spokesman, said Tuesday in Halifax.“It is a great opportunity just for exchange and goodwill,” he said. “We are certainly proud to host them.
“It is interesting how Canada and China have a lot of similarities in the sense that they are both maritime nations. They both have proud naval histories, so there is certainly a lot that we can share.”
Members of the local Chinese community took part in Maritime Forces Atlantic’s official welcome of the ship.
“The showing (by the Chinese community) was immense and very energetic, Stansfield said. “They had flags out and were singing their national anthem.”

They were singing THEIR national anthem and wave THEIR flags on our shores? This is not an expression of goodwill.

China has a proud "naval history.. hmmmm
In exactly which way does Lt. Stansfield mean? compared to the Royal Navy or the Royal Canadian Navy a proud but young navy, in fact,only 100 years old.

Isnt the acknowledgment of China's naval prowess only fairly recent?

It always seemed to me it was whites and exclusively whites throughout history can lay true claim to a proud and successful seafaring history.

I do remember something on the "history" channel trying to push the idea that the ancient Chinese had built an Uber-Impressive ocean going collossus that predates our ancestors ships..
Ladies and gents I dont know about you but this is the one and only time I heard of such early Chinese International sea going exploits.
My first thought is that they are leaving out important parts of the story such as that perhaps the White man was there to give them technology.
We do know they find Caucasian mummies there all the time and repress this.
And we know our ancestors were all over the world including ancient Egypt, India, Easter Island, North America etc .
Is it so hard to believe whites were in and perhaps even had civilization in what is now known as China? Or were there in the distant past?

One thing is for certain. If Whites don't wake up and pull their heads from their posteriors we will see them (China) continue to grow with the benefit of our cheap but priceless resources and their slave labour. ,T

These are Communists, really. Should we hail them?
