Ethnicity Should not matter - Editorial

This Editorial appeared in My Local Paper. Basically, the Author
is criticizing Politicians for Playing to the Ethnic vote, and She goes on to say that We are All Immigrants. She is basically saying Ethnicity doesn't matter.
Apparently, She is a Jewish, Atheist Feminist. I would suggest that
She Supports all kinds of Affirmative Action Programs for "Minorities"
and Women. So She must be confused about when Race matters and when it
does not?

Let's quit with the 'ethnic vote' nonsense

"Ethnic" has to be a euphemism for skin colour, because I never hear politicians fussing about, for example, the need to court Scandinavian voters. When was the last time anyone cared how Ole Jensen, who has never missed a Sons of Norway meeting since immigrating to Canada five years ago, is going to vote?

Poor Ole, only mildly ethnic with his rosy skin and blond hair -no one's trying to woo him. Now if Ole suddenly changed his name to Mohamed Jensen, he might become an ethnic object of interest to politicians, regardless of stripe or party.

Mildly ethnic? So, it's OK for her to joke about it and it's only serious if it applies to non-Whites?

I actually Read Her Bio and sent Her an E-Mail that was very Polite and
not particularly controversial. I just made some points. Just from Her
picture She reminded Me of the Legions of Left Wing Democratic Jewish Womyn Who are devoted to "Minority" interests. You know the Amy Moonblatt's and Hilary Rosenbergsteins Who get Jobs in Liberal Publications.
