COPS WASTE TIME AND MONEY VISITING A MOSQUE

One day workshops have been held at Barking Mosque to better educate police officers on the practices and customs of Muslims and the Islamic faith.
The course was the brainchild of Christina Rowe who is a volunteer helper at the mosque. Barking and Dagenham Police Officer Ali Malik worked closely with the trustees of the Mosque in designing and delivering the courses.
The courses aim to provide an understanding of the Islamic religion and Muslim culture. The day includes a tour of the Mosque and observation of the afternoon prayer along with an explanation of rituals and acts of worship.
Six workshops have been run so far with positive reactions from the officers who have attended both locally and from neighbouring boroughs. The prospect of extending the project is being looked in to.
Sheikh Asim Hussain, the Imam of the Mosque, said: “I want to thank the Metropolitan Police, particularly Chief Superintendent Matt Bell, who considered the course so important that he took out an entire day of his hectic schedule to attend and take part.
These courses were not about preaching the message of Islam but more about identifying the commonalities among us. I think every person who attended took away something positive.”
Police Borough Commander Matt Bell said: “Better understanding of the beliefs and lifestyle of the communities we serve is of great benefit to my officers.
“I am very grateful to Christina and the leaders of the Ilford Lane Mosque for organising this highly informative workshop. I have no doubt that this extra knowledge will be very useful to Police Officers when they interact with members of the Muslim community.”
I wonder when Muslim officers will be sent on a day course at a Christian church to learn about the Christian religion and Christian culture.
We hardly if ever see cops on the beat and here we have cops wasting their time visiting a mosque during working hours. If any cops want to learn about Islam then go to the library and get a copy of the Koran, or visit the mosque on your day off.
The tax payer deserves better treatment and service from these paid British public servants and I think these PC lefty jollies are not only a waste of time and money but they treat the Muslim community differently than the rest of us, almost putting them above us for some reason.
Let’s just treat Muslims as anybody else if the break the law they should be treated like the rest of us simple. It does not however require special days out wasting front line police funds on PC crap.

Now all we need is for an "understanding the traditional owners of the British Isles" course... where the end lesson is that what is best for 'cultural understanding' is if they all flip off back to ragland.

I didn't read any further than this to know that it was a bunch of crap.

Gawd, when will people wake up already???

What they need to do is educate the Mudslims which way their home is and point them in that direction and send them off.
