African Australians have so much to contribute - if only we gave them a chance.

As a community member from a consultation in South Australia said: ''African Australians have so much to contribute to the Australian society, but this can only happen when there is a sense of belonging, when people feel part of this country, when they call this country home.''
I won't dwell on the body of this article, it's Cookie Cutter Leftist rhetoric but what specifically do Africans have to contribute to a Western society?
They repeat variations on the above quoted phrases endlessly but never deliver the goods.
What do African Refugees have to offer that offsets the trouble and disquiet they cause, not just among Whites but among the other migrant and Indigenous communities?
I can accept that as an act of charity allowing traumatised Africans to re settle here has a certain nobility but that's all these damaged people will ever be, charity cases.
The Australians don't expect people from other races who suffer mental problems such as PTSD to make a contribution, why should Africans be viewed differently?
In reality the refugees make up a small part of the quoted 250,000 African Australians but it's that group who are most often held up as victims in this type of article.
It's painfully obvious that the Agenda of Graham Innes is to, putting it mildly "change" the Australians, because he's setting them an impossible task and putting unfair expectations upon the Refugees.
Sure some Africans do have skills and knowledge to contribute but they are the educated, "cream of the crop" and don't need a leg up, they come here on work permits under their own steam or are head hunted by Australian corporations.
People will accept an African doctor as part of the community and may even judge him a "Good Bloke" in time, they won't say the same about the "troubled" African Refugees who hang around Railway stations at night or when drunk prowl the CBD looking for trouble.
