Thread: Australian schoolchildren would be required to learn an Asian language

AUSTRALIAN schoolchildren would be required to learn an Asian language under a proposal put forward by Deputy Opposition Leader Julie Bishop.
Ms Bishop says she will push to have the plan adopted as coalition policy before the next federal election.
"I believe that we should have a much greater focus on a second language," she told Sky News today.
"In fact my view is it should be mandatory.
"It should be an Asian language. I wouldn't necessarily say it has to be Mandarin. Japanese, Indonesian - there are a number of Asian languages that would be important."
Such a policy would help Australia engage with its increasingly important region, Ms Bishop said.
"It would be brilliant form of soft diplomacy if we had a large body of people in Australia who were able to speak an Asian language," she said.
Ms Bishop also wants to see an expanded two-way student exchange program

There is a great language course Scientology offers for school children in English - this helps teach them all the basic understanding of communication, language and clearing out key ins and hypnotic words that the Elite use.

I hope this course is introduced in Australian schools everywhere. I am not a Scientologists, yet my son did these courses when he was young and he is a high acheiver without lousy misunderstoods and wrong punctuation. Education of English first and taught correctly should be taught in a dominant English/White country. That understanding will make any language easier to understand rather than shoving down other people's culture down our kids necks - they can chose what second, or third language they wish to learn in their leisure!

The Government is so scared of change, forcing languages that are useless to our existence on us and then wondering why we are developing derelect youth, crime and drug addicts.
