Smart move by the Chinese.

It's a failure of education that girls want men to buy them gifts and even support their lifestyle? Nah, it's just human nature at work. Why would those women want to work when they have a rich man to treat them like a princess?

There is no way to stop that lifestyle unless society shames the women into behaving or they give their father the authority to stop it.

Educating the women to boost their "self-esteem" is never going to work because that's not the problem. Women have always desired to be with wealthy men because those men can provide them with a high level of material living.

The community of women probably see the woman who marries the poor man to be the one that has self-esteem problems. Getting with a wealthy man, on the other hand, seems like an achievement to them, just like it is for American women in the USA.
