    Currently, I'm on 4,000 iu a day. Maybe I should bump it up a little.

    Vitamin D is essential for many things. Skin is the most commanly known. But the benefits that it contributes to some of our major organs is very important. Good post. :thumb2:

    I certainly need more vitamin D. Especially when sick, I get stuck in the house. I do take supplements.. But nothing beats actual sunlight.

    I'm in Switzerland and do 8000 IUs for half a year (Oct. / March), 4000 for Sept. and April and zero for other four.
    I get my Vit. D serum levels checked twice a year and they're about 90 - 100 ng/ml which is higher than it needs to be but not too high.
