Mexico's authorities say that two of the country's most powerful drugs cartels have overcome their rivalry to form an alliance against a third.Ramon Pequeno, head of the Mexican anti-narcotics police, said the Gulf and La Familia cartels were now fighting a group called the Zetas.BBC article.They are fighting over a lucrative drug transit point on the US border.

Sounds like the Zetas are some heavy hitter if it's taking on 3 other cartels, mexican army, plus whatever we have over there. I guess they're the nastest of the bunch and sounds like the most feared of all the cartels.
