Default US law enforcement accused of using entrapment to ensnare ‘terrorists’

In slew of recent cases across the country, FBI and police have made use of controversial tactics to fight radicalism

The recent arrests on terrorism-related charges of six young Somali-Americans from Minneapolis and others throughout the United States have prompted renewed questions over the issue of entrapment, and over the degree of real security achieved by disrupting plots that law-enforcement had helped shape.

The six, ages 19 to 21, were charged with conspiracy to aid and support a terrorist organization, and are accused of trying to travel to Syria to join the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL, also called ISIS).

"These were focused men who were intent on joining a terrorist organization," Minnesota U.S. Attorney Andy Luger said at a news conference.

But the case relies partly on a confidential human source (CHS), who had been a part of the group seeking to join ISIL before he began cooperating with the FBI.

Having paid attention and delving into the real facts surrounding these much 'headlined' fake-coups by the FIBbies and other federal 'security organs' ... I've come to the conclusion that the vast majority of them (if not ALL) are staged entrapments used to justify, in the dim-public's mind, what a great job these doofs are doing to protect 'the homeland"... the typical entrapped defendant is some minority dupe, usually a young internet sap, who couldn't put together an ordinary liquor store heist.

Don't get me wrong, the arrestees are dangerous, but just as much as any alienated congoid or other imported third worlder (like the feral Somali teens just arrested in MN), and they should be removed, I don't like how the legal apparatus makes up big "terrorist" cases out of complete set ups and then brags about all the mayhem supposedly thwarted by the entrapment pinches ... usually, like an ordinary Hollywood B movie "in the nick of time."

I wouldn't call the arrested muslims 'harmless' just guiltless of the kooky charges dreamt up and procured by the FIBs: The FBI's Reliance on Entrapment -- News from Antiwar.com
