Unreal.“Made in the USA” labels may be disappearing more quickly than most consumers realize. As if buying American made goods was not difficult enough, shoppers may soon not even be able to determine where a prospective purchase is manufactured. The World Trade Organization (WTO) is pushing for an elimination of country-of-origin labels on all consumer products, the World News Daily (WND) reports. The organization wants to replace the current labeling policy of identifying the nation where items are manufactured with a “Made in the World” tag.
Such a tag would alert consumers that the pretty pink sweater which caught their eye while window shopping was not made on Mars; but would inhibit the ability of those who make an effort to support American workers when visiting the local mall. The misguided WTO plan was initiated to “re-engineer global governance and reduce opposition to free trade,” the WND reports.

On many things we can make sure we are buying from each other....
Bedding for example:
A large bolt of cloth can be ordered in. A woman can easily hem both ends of the flat sheets and put an elastic in the fitted sheet and sell them locally or on Ebay. If she has a garage, she can use it to sew matching quilts.She just has to pay attention to make sure they look professional and are the right sizes....King, Queen, Full, Single, Youth, and Crib sizes. She can sell them on locally or on Ebay.
If she does solid white linen sheets she can make an agreement with local motels and hotels. They have to replace bedding often.
Everyone needs bedding right? You can have a web sight for orders and talk about what state you are located in. Those tags will only work for large corps such as WALMART that imports most of it's products. Buy direct from your local farmers and find web sights that mention their location.

I've never been a big fan of the label "Made in USA" anyhow but it's unclear who made it. Where it is made is of less concern to me. For example, if there was a label that said "Made by Mexicans in a factory in Memphis, Tennessee" that would be more helpful. Then I would know not to buy it.
