WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Wilmington Police officers tracked down 22-year-old Travis Keith Glaspie, who was wanted on outstanding warrants, in the 400 block of Henry Street Sunday afternoon.
When they moved in, officers said Glaspie ran. That's when Maxx, a K-9 officer took over. The two struggled and WPD spokesperson Lucy Crockett said Glaspie bit the dog's ear so badly that the animal needed several stitches. Glaspie was also bitten during the confrontation. He was eventually apprehended, but Crockett said he remained combative throughout the arrest process.
A true measure of a man's character is his willingness to speak the truth - even at the expense of his reputation.
A hallmark of self-deceiving cowards is their acceptance of authority as their truth, rather than the truth as their authority.
Animal abuse should carry a mandatory life sentence.

Live a good life. If there are gods and they are just, then they will not care how devout you have been, but will welcome you based on the virtues you have lived by. If there are gods but unjust, then you should not want to worship them. If there are no gods, then you will be gone, but will have lived a noble life that will live on in the memories of your loved ones. I am not afraid. - M. Aurelius
