After U.S. Senator Rand Paul introduced an amendment that would have ended armed FDA raids on raw milk farmers and legalized free speech about the curative properties of medicinal herbs, nutritional supplements and superfoods, are you curious how many Democrats voted in favor of this?

Just to make it clear: I would gladly support any real farmers, any time and any place! But I too DO NOT BELIEVE that there is any genuine benefits of Chinese "medicine", nor do I believe that such should be called medicine at all. Europeans invented real medicine and to label that Chinese mambo-jumbo as medicine is to degrade real medicine. And that is not good!

I think you are missing the point; no matter how true or how false the claims of Chinese or any other "medicine" are, it is not the purview of the Federal or any other government to decide for us which we may use! If any bureaucracy tries this then every member of that bureaucracy needs to be tried on a felony charge of violation of civil rights and every member of the said bureaucracy needs to serve a minimum of 10 years in jail as a co-conspirator!!Originally Posted by oTTo

I like to see it differently. People are inately sheep and crooks can easly fool most of the people at least some of the time. Bad government protects the right of those crooks and thieves to fool or rob the cradulous people. While good goverment protects the people. It is so sad when some White individuals buy dried out tigar pinas in order to cure their sexual potency, or when they purchase "shark pills" to cure cancer or if they eat infamous Chinese fetus soup... I think a good government should protect their citizens from those crooks, just as they should protect us from other crooks in business or whatever... It is not moral for anyone to say that if someone is not able to see some crooks then it is all right for those crooks to take advantage of them... It is not the point of choice but the point of justice and wether the crooks should be given a chance to take advantage of the people!

That is precisely the argument Obama and his liberals, along with every tyrannical government for hundreds of years, give for EVERY government intrusion in the life of their people!! Once this principle is accepted any freedom at all is imposable!! If you make choices with respect to your life, that is freedom, if the government makes those choices that IS tyranny!!
Further every government which has given the right to choose for the benefit of the people, instead chooses what they think is beneficial to the establishment!! (They usually choose wrong, and do not even benefit the establishment either!!)

What politicians say and what they do is not necessarily the same thing... Obama government is NOT A GOOD government! Like all USA governments, at lesat the latest ones, they are ruled by the rich elite! I personally believe that only good government, or at least partially good goverment, were National Socialists... Only problem was that they were in Germany and they were good only for Germans. If they were in USA or if they were for all White People, I would be for them! And I would not consider them to be a form of tyranny but a good government or a mostly good government that takes care of its citizens! We would not have these problesm right now, if Nazis came to power in USA... Only victors make history and decide what is what thus they declared Hitler to be the code-word for evil! But if present powers to be hate him so much: I think he can't be so bad!
In a way, I understand what you are saying, those arguments are clear to me: only I chose to see reality from a different perspective and away from the worped lenses of those trying to mold everyones opinion to their liking. Most Americans think that USA is the best in great many ways. I prefer to differ and to see reality my way. There are good things about USA and there are some bad things too. And what's more, USA would be even better if it accepts some ideas from other European countries, like Germany... Such might not be very popular with the mainstream media or with the majority of people, but nonetheless, it's my opinion and I'll stend by it.
