I believe we also need to factor in a couple of things. Part of it has to do with how accustomed they are to the drugs and if they're getting "heavier" prescriptions over time.
I've seen ads on television for the need for medical personnel for the VA hospitals/facilities around the country. The VA will accept any states' medical license (as in M.D. or maybe other medical personnel) wherever that VA hospital that is. I think that's strange. If someone in Washington state has to sit for licensing for another state, why shouldn't the same occur for the VA? Is it only because it's a government entity and they're in need? I think the VA should be closer looked at with medicines, etc.
Also, some people have been traumatized so heavily with several combat tours or have been grievously wounded.
I wish I could get some analyses on some of these people.
