I was stationed on a base where this ship home ported. The ship was know as the "Snortin'Norton" until the introdution of female personal, after that it became known as the "LOVE BOAT".

I was in the reserves for a time before returning to active duty. I was in a few Tender units (factory ships tending destroyers and submarines). One ship, the Emory S. Land was 40% women and there were rumors that most of them never cashed their paychecks. Never knew how many of them were lesbian.

Later on, back on active duty, there were so many gays on The USS Mt Whitney (AGC20) that we had to watch ourselves in the showers. That was in the 80'. Right before retiring from a shore station, we had a lesbian officer that absolutely hated men and would go out of her way to make us all feel like s***. No matter what we did, it wasn't right. Finally she lipped up and accused the wrong person for harassment and was forced to resign her commission.

Kinda gives a new meaning to 'blue on blue' attack doesn't it?

The new vessel types fagship the USS FABULOUS is expected to be commissioned in 2014, while the ship will boast no offensive armaments it will have 23 jacuzzis and over 50 communal showers with massaging shower heads. It is also rumoured to be the first US Navy vessel to deploy the new high tech, lithium battery powered mop handles recently devised by researchers contracted to the Pentagon.


In accordance with longstanding Naval tradition a clever monicker has already been selected for this ships crew, "Pirates of the hairybehind"

The ships main defensive feature is expected to be her next generation colour scheme of rainbow hues and glitter meant to "dazzle" enemy lookouts.

Naval spokesperson Lt. Cmdr. Butch Adams says she is truly excited at the prospect of all those young People joining the Navy and being assigned to her command. "They have a lot to learn but I will do my best to teach them all I know" she says.

The USS Glory Hole will sail from San Fransico port, where the crew very much enjoyed their shore leave prior to embarkation, directly to Israel where ships officers will rendezvous with their Israeli counterparts. The Glory Hole will then head directly for the Strait of Hormuz where it will take up routine patrols. The Glory Hole is unique in more ways than one, encapsulating the true essence of diversity it (the Glory Hole is not referred to as a 'she', the gender neutral term of 'it' is to be used) carries no conventional weapons.
