I would not consider anything published by NewsMax as credible. They were firmly in Cain's camp until his fall and now are firmly committed to Gingrich's Marxist camp.

Newsmax: What should our relationship be with Israel?

Ron Paul: We should be their friend and their trading partner. They are a democracy and we share many values with them. But we should not be their master. We should not dictate where their borders will be nor should we have veto power over their foreign policy.

This is not just about Israel, by the way, this is about how we should conduct ourselves with other countries around the world.

Newsmax: But Israel is not like other countries. We have a large Jewish population in America. What do you say to those who criticize your policy toward Israel?

Ron Paul: I think that some not only misunderstand the American Constitution and the role we should have in the world, they also misunderstand Zionism. Part of the original idea of Zionism, as I understand it, was that there should be Jewish independence and Jewish self-reliance. Today, America doesn’t want anyone to be self-reliant. We want to rule the world and be the saviors of the world and we are going broke in the process.

Newsmax: Some object to your policy of cutting foreign aid to Israel.

Ron Paul: I have objected to all foreign aid. I define foreign aid as taking money from poor people in rich countries and giving it to rich people in poor countries. We just can’t keep doing this. We don’t have the money anymore.

Yes, He was on CBS news tonight and said all foreign aid should be cut, including aid to israel..People should remember, Ron Paul is the best hope we have of setting this nation back on course. jmho.

Practically speaking, what's Paul gonna say about Israel? That he wants it wiped off the map? Nit-wit evangelical Christianettes and the MSM would be screaming he was the anti-Christ if he uttered the slightest anti-Israel remark ......... of course, anyone with the slightest perspicacity can see in Iconoclast's posts here that "reading between the lines" Paul is quite different than his flake-rivals.

In some ways the question about Israel is similar to the pharisees' questioning of Jesus about what to render Caesar. [The Sanhedrin's agents were tryin' to destroy Jesus' base of support with a loaded question he could only get into trouble with answering. Christ deftly parried the instigators, as did Paul here.]

No, Cain. I receive email updates from them all the time and while Cain was running, they reported on no one else but Cain endlessly praising him, even during the sexual harassment allegations. When Cain dropped out and Gingrich immediately began his campaign, their e-letters switched to praising him. They are very anti-Ron Paul and very pro-Israel.

I know some ladies and gentlemen eschew using the acronym ZOG; I'm certainly not one of them and use the pejorative, but I feel quite an accurate and handy term, constantly.

Yesterday I had reason to speak with an active-duty Army officer friend, rather highly-ranked, who, w/o any prompting from me, used the acronym. Since it's been a few years since we last spoke, I was surprised to hear him say it, and told him so ..... [I'd been using the term since, at least, the mid-80s] He said "everybody" uses it now in his circles. "Really?" I responded, "but aren't you a servant of ZOG?" I only halfway joked. "How can you say that!?" the miffed friend retorted.

As you can imagine, his remaining time in the Army is "short." BTW, according to him, Ron Quixote Paul's support in the officer corps is enormous.
