If it weren't for my kids still being in school and being a business owner, I'd be moving to ND. After my kids finish school, I may sell my business and relocate.

Our WhiteNewsNow folks can take pride in being the forum that first got the word out on the boom-for-White-folks in North Dakota. I came to North Dakota two years ago for something else that North Dakota has in abundance: beautiful Nordic ladies. Sigrid was a WhiteNewsNow Sr. Mod when I flew up to North Dakota to meet her in person. I arrived on Saturday and we were married on Monday.

But then I noticed the second-best thing about North Dakota, which is its unbelievable economic boom. A boom for White folks. So, I started talking about it on my radio shows two years ago. Some of the folks who heard those shows are already here in North Dakota.

Let me toss in some more amazing facts about this beautiful White state. Can you name the Whitest county in America? Guess where it is. That's right - in North Dakota. Slope County, in the "Oil Patch", is 99.8% White. The total population is 767, if memory serves.

Steele County, which is just south of Grand Forks County, where we are, has a population of only 2,600 mostly Norwegian descendants. Stories like this abound in this undiscovered gem of a State. There is no State better suited to a patriot independence movement.

I also have heard that ND is very progressive and likes to keep power as local as possible (ie not give it to the Feds). ND has half the land area of Germany. Germany has 80 million people. ND has less than 800,000. What an opportunity.

The abundance of well-paying jobs mitigates most of the risk of moving.

It's a bit cold in ND, but what would you rather don? A winter jacket or a bullet proof vest?

There's employment all over the state. Anything in particular you're looking for? Housing is most prevalent everywhere, but in the oil fields, there's still housing there if you're willing to compromise somewhat. They're building new apartments, trailers and houses for people, but it takes time, of course.

I am an electrician by trade, but am willing to change careers. I have three children so my housing would have to accomodate them. I am seriously considering coming up there at the beginning of the year and do some scouting. I just don't know how this southern boy will acclimate to that northern clime. What I am asking really is if generally is there an abundance of housing or is the state pretty bare. You see, down here houses are going cheap and they are everywhere if you are willing to live in a neighborhood or low income area. I have been thinking about this for a while and have done some cusory searches. My impression is that housing is sparse and ND is pretty bare which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Hi SoT. I have also done some research and from what I can gather available housing is difficult to find in the Williston (oil basin) area. It would appear that there is no housing shortage in Bismarck, Grand Forks or Fargo. My wife & I are also looking at relocating to ND. I'll keep you posted with what I learn over the next month or two.

No really, this sounds exciting, I'm getting the itch to head for Dakota myself.
To go somewhere where community and neighbourliness is still prevalent,
and have a chance to contribute to such a society and raise a successful family.
GO for it!

Lucrative wages listed, I only earn the equivalent of 15$/hour minus taxes et al (and this is in Sweden mind you). If you're single, unemployed and still have plenty of good years left for work... it sounds like you should definently pick up the bags and go to North D!

And there are jobs all over the state, too, not just the oil fields, so we have that going for us, too.

Because of the depression and high gas prices the price of motorhomes and "camping" trailers is low, especially older units purchased from private parties. Buy one and your housing problems in counties with 1% (!!!) unemployment might be solved!

The available pay and jobs seem to be out of sight, and with an RV you could take advantage, regardless of the availability of housing!
