Thank god, we have way too much manufacturing here.

They are soon to sign "free trade agreements" with South Korea and Honduras. In Honduras I believe You can have full on sweat shops. no Unions, etc. And, obviously labor practices in South Korea are hardly North American standard.

I have no objection with Ford opening a plant in India because the cars produced there will be sold there.

Likewise, Mercedes Benz has a factory in Alabama producing cars to be sold in America. Reading a Buisness Week article Nissan built a plant in Mississippi and tells the story of a woman who was laid off from her $11.50/ hour welding job, but was hired for $20/ hour at the new Nissan plant.

What I have a problem with is when American corporations move factories and jobs overseas and re-import products back into the United States.

Far too often so-called "free trade" agreements are exploited, Chrysler plant in Mexico to build Fiat subcompact, where the cars are designated for the American market.

"Mexico is in an ideal position for production of this car because of free trade agreements with neighbors to both the north and the south," the CEO of the two automakers said, "because of the bridge between NAFTA and Latin America."

He said that the Toluca plant "is the only one in all of North America that will build the Fiat 500 and it's the only one in the world that is producing the Dodge Journey."

He noted that Fiat-Chrysler employs a total of 7,000 people at six plants in Mexico.

Trade agreements such as NAFTA eliminated tariffs between Canada, Mexico and the US. This I presume would include the Fiat-Chrysler cars made in Mexico. I support repealing NAFTA.

If Fiat-Chrysler wants to sell the Fiat 500 and the Dodge Journey in America then build the plant in America. Otherwise, the Mexican market is all theirs and the Fiat 500 will have a hefty tariff levelled in order to sell it to Americans.

If I remember correctly, Ford recently opened up the largest plant ever in Mexico. This may explain why the company didn't need ZOG to bail them out. There are negotiations ongoing right now for a new contract between the UAW and the Ford plants here in Louisville. The biggest issue is that they want their suspended wages and benefits restored after sacrificing them (read give up freedoms) so that Ford could avoid bankruptcy. It doesn't matter if GM and Chrysler opted for the fed bailout, the workers benefits were not affected. It was Ford who is the actual looser as the workers voted to strike if their compensations weren't restored.

I guess Ford is following Harley Davidson.

H-D is setting up shop in India as well.

I hope more manufacturing jobs come back here...

It is impossible for manufacturing jobs to “Come back here,” as long as ZOG is in power.

If China raised its wages to American levels tomorrow, we still couldn’t compete. There is a long list of reasons, including environmental regulations, etc., but Affirmative Action alone is enough to doom us in competition with the Chinks.

Consider two identical new similarly equipped factories, one in the US and one in China, making the same product. Assume each factory requires 1,000 workers. The Chinese will sift through several thousand applicants, whose average IQ is 100-105, and choose the best 1,000 for their new factory.

The US factory will have about 750 of its employees from the White cohort, with an average IQ of 100-105. These capable White workers will work alongside about 125 negroes with average IQ between 80-85, and about the same number of mestizos, averaging 85-90 in IQ. See the problem??
