Navy SEALs accused of punching accused Falluja plotter - CNN.com

Three U.S. Navy SEALs face criminal charges after the alleged mastermind of one of the most notorious crimes against Americans in Iraq accused them of punching him after his capture, the military said Wednesday.

If found guilty, they could be sentenced to a maximum of a year in a military prison, demotion to the lowest Navy rank, a cut in pay and a bad conduct discharge.
To say the least, this is very pathetic when the best of our best, fighting a war that doesn't really hold our interests at heart, are charged in such a callous manner...

How can the military hope to recruit people, when such simple things could result in them being incarcerated for an entire year, and a bad mark on their record?
