This is true Sigrid. I admit to following the trial daily when possible. I find it a heartbreaking waste that this beatiful White child was murdered, by her mother imo.

I was listening to it on cnn.com/live for a little while. It's certainly a sad, sad case.

Why is it we see all this non-stop reporting about the Caylee Anthony infanticide case down in Florida, while at the same time a jury in Ohio finally convicts a black woman of microwaving her baby to death and we hear ZILCH?

Guess we have a tad bit of double standard going on .
Just think about all the reports we’re seeing about Caylee Anthony on cable news and national networks. Why? Because the mother is White, that’s why.They rarely or lightly report on crime blacks do because the PC media mavens want to keep White people oblivious to the very real black horror show going on .

Casey Anthony's dad is a race traitor (his mistress is a non-White woman).

This is a direct indictment on present day society. People are so used to reality TV that this has become the newest show. A week ago folks were fighting in the streets in order to secure one of the 50 precious in house seats at the trial. These guys are disconnected from the real world. To them this is not a horrible story of the worst crime imaginable, it is popcorn worthy entertainment.

Yours is an outstanding post, lewiswestgard. If Casey Anthony were a Negro we would hear NOTHING of this criminal act. Given her fair skin color, it's 24/7 coverage.

But it also shows that we are actually not racists. We want justice to be served, regardless of race. If Casey were a Negro her fellow blacks would be jumping up and down defending her.

Post-partum depression can be deadly and it's real. There are many documented cases of it. I'm not going to turn this into an argument about it. And I don't know if this is what this woman had, but when you think of things like other cases and women feel like they have nowhere else to turn or are ashamed, I hope that we, as Whites, can find better solutions or just solutions in general to help our own out so they don't feel this way or commit atrocious acts. It would be great for people like us and for us, to have a support system for new mothers or just mothers who have recently (within two or so years) given birth.

Anthony doesn't take the stand as defense rests

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Casey Anthony's defense team rested its case Thursday in her high-profile murder trial without her testimony and some experts believe the strategy raised more questions than answers to support her claim that her 2-year daughter died in a tragic accident.

The jury also saw a note from a failed suicide attempt by Casey Anthony's own father, who wrestled with questions about what happened to his granddaughter. Casey Anthony claimed he helped her dispose of Caylee's body after she drowned.

At different parts of the note, George Anthony wrote: "Casey does not deserve to be where she is" and "She (Caylee) was found so close to home. Why?"

The prosecution began its rebuttal on Thursday afternoon. Closing arguments will follow and the jury could begin deliberating by this weekend. If convicted of first-degree murder, the 25-year-old could receive the death penalty.

This family sounds like total bad news. The child should have been taken away from them, but CPS in Florida dropped the ball in this case.

The prosecution used that to make Casey look bad. It's a tactic.
