Wiesenthaler condemns Demjanjuk release

Ephraim Zuroff of the Simon Wiesenthal Center doesn't like the fact that
91 Year Old, Wheelchair bound, John Demjanjuk was released from Prison.
It is apparently disrespectful to the victims of the Holocaust. I doubt that Demjanjuk was anything but a minor Guard Who took the Prison job simply to save His own life.

Israeli Nazi hunter deplores Demjanjuk release

A leading Israeli Nazi-hunter has deplored the release of former death camp guard John Demjanjuk, hours after a German court convicted him of helping to kill at least 28,000 people.
Efraim Zuroff, head of the Simon Wiesenthal Centre's Israel office, said the release of Demjanjuk pending an appeal against his conviction Thursday and sentence of five years imprisonment, rendered meaningless the long process of his extradition from the United States and eventual trial.
"The release of Demjanjuk is deplorable and is an insult to his victims," Zuroff told AFP on Friday.

Demjanjuk Taken to Nursing Home

Demjanjuk spent much of the trial in a bed set up in the courtroom or in a wheelchair. Mr. Demjanjuk’s son, John Demjanjuk Jr., said in an e-mail Friday that his father requires weekly medical treatment for a bone marrow and blood disorder, chronic kidney disease and severe degeneration of the spine.
However, Cornelius Nestler, a law professor who acted on behalf of a dozen Holocaust victims during the trial, accused the elder Mr. Demjanjuk of “exorbitantly” exaggerating the seriousness of his ailments. During final arguments last month, Mr. Nestler noted that while Mr. Demjanjuk lay almost lifeless in the courtroom he would joke with reporters outside.

Most People on this Forum know that:
Israel has Elected Two War Criminals as Prime Ministers. These being Menachem Begin and Ariel Sharon. Both were primarily responsible for
the atrocities that occured, such as the King David Hotel Bombing in the case of Begin. I know Ariel Sharon is known to hate Palestinians, as a People, and the Palestinians hate Him. Sharon and Begin weren't simply shouldering a Rifle which is what John Demjanjuk was doing.
