I remember arguing with people at the time over the blame for the Katrina flooding. Some folks wanted to blame the city or the state, but the federal government through the Army Corps of Engineers is responsible for maintaining levees and the prevention of flooding along major rivers.

Bush actually cut spending on levee repairs to pay for his empire wars.

Unfortunately, now the government is going to have to dole out "reparations" to who knows how many people because Bush did a crappy job as president.
