It's written in the hand of Ned himself from his days as a young lad till the end. It's very detailed on his familly members , the constibulary , the social stratification ect.

A great period piece.

It's a series of letters written over the years to his daughter.

The book won, CommonWealth Writers prize for Best Book 2001.
