Police detectives believe Gabriel Aron Benmeir, 30, was shot when arrived home around midnight.
Detective are investigating what kind of weapon was used, but sources said it could have been a shotgun.
He is listed as a music coordinator and production coordinator on several MTV shows including "Punk'd" and "Top Pop Group."
