I've been on the road, driving from Salt Lake City, Utah to Grand Forks, North Dakota.

I've got some fine photos of Mt. Rushmore that I took yesterday while I was in South Dakota on this trek.

Feeling and movement are returning to my legs and feet after the twenty hour drive.

Welcome home. Just curious, why did you drive so far out of the way from Salt Lake City to home? Maybe you could tell us what route you took driving home. I'm guessing you took I-15 north to Idaho to I-90 in Montana, connecting with I-94??

Or you drove on I-80 thru southern Wyoming and presumely two lane roads throughout the Dakotas?

Edit: From your post, you stopped at Mt. Rushmore. So you probably took I-80 thru Wyo. then connected to Casper to get on I-25, to I-90. You could have stopped at Devils Tower. That's where I saw a lynx cross the road near there.

And did you stop at the Badlands enroute? Both ND and SD (also Montana) have badlands.

Oh, he definitely did see the Badlands in ND and SD! He went through Rawlins, Casper and Wright, Wyoming, and then went on through the Tall Grass Prairie out of Wright, WY and Mt. Rushmore. Absolutely breathtaking!

I would think the most scenic part of the trip is between Salt Lake City and Casper, since it is thru mountainous country. Between Casper and Mt. Rushmore/Black Hills is mostly rolling grassy plains. Map tells me he went thru Thunder Basin National Grassland (not "Tall Grass Prairie", tho yes, he did see tall grass prairie). Going to ND badlands (it is called 'Theodore Roosevelt NP") from the Badlands National Park in South Dakota (about an hour east of the Black Hills) may be out of the way.

Did Jamie see prairie dogs & buffalo? When I went thru Badlands NP last March, I saw prairie dogs, few buffalo, and Rocky Mtn bighorn sheep. In nearby Devil's Tower (in NE Wyoming), I saw a lynx cross the road, and saw hundreds of deer, and a flock of wild turkey. Ah, yes, I did see hundreds and hundreds of pronghorn antelope in southern Wyoming when I drove from So Cal to the midwest.

After badlands/Black Hills, geography becomes very plain (pardon the pun) all the way to home!

I just watched this video, after getting home, and after a 1,400-mile drive across country.

At first I had no idea that somebody was over my shoulder shooting video. You can see me turning to see this person in this edit of their video that they put up. I could see from this guy's face that he wasn't a friend of our people.

So I decided at that point to wrap up the logical argument and head out of the discussion. This all happened at the end of the last day of CPAC. We were all just awaiting the results of the straw poll, which was won so handily by Ron Paul, with 30% of the votes cast. Romney was a distant second with 23%. And, even more gratifying, all other candidates got single digits. Sarah Palin looks like toast. She got 2%. The pathetic Neocon, Newt Gingrich, who gave away THOUSANDS of copies of his awful, thick book, also got single digits. He couldn't even BUY votes this time.

This is all wonderful news. CPAC was a wonderful event for our people.

I've got to mention that when the clown with the camera turned his camera on, I was about ready to keel over from combined hunger, fatigue, and very little sleep over four non-stop days. You can hear how hoarse I had gotten. So, all that considered, heck...not a bad video. A pretty good case is made, in a WhiteNewsNow style, that we White folks have interests.

And we have both the right and the duty to defend those interests.

On another site it was suggested that if you had a few people with you who could have agreed with your points and even asked leading questions it probably would have helped those who were wavering...I don't know if you went to the conference alone but having someone with a camera wouldn't have been a bad idea...AND others who could have said, "yeah, that makes sense."
