That would be typical for the Israelis. Make the other nations in the Mediterranean look unstable with staged "terrorist bombings" so that Israel looks better.

The big problem with Israel is that all you get are enemies and nothing positive from having Israel for an "ally". Worst of all, you always have to worry about a knife in the back from your Israeli "friends".
