Thread: USS Liberty BBC Documentary: Dead in the Water

It's really amazing how the U.S. for many years would call for the Soviet Union to 'come clean' about its involvement in such things as the Katyn Massacre during WWII for instance in which the NKVD, what was to become the the KGB, murdered over 20,000 Polish Officers, and then blamed the Germans, and yet, here after 40 years, the United States government can't come clean on what really happened to the USS Liberty and those sailors who were killed and wounded. The reason for this refusal to come clean, is apparently because of the fact that AIPAC and the state of Israel has almost all of our political leaders in their back pockets.

Senator McCain especially, because of his fathers direct involvement, should feel a responsibility to have the truth come out, but he will wont, because he's a damned coward and traitor just like so many others in Washington.

Obviously except for Nader, no other opposing candidates in 2008 thought it appropriate to bring this incident up, which just goes to reveal that almost all of those in Washington, in both parties are in collusion in doing nothing about trying to get at the truth.

The USS Liberty is a shameful chapter in American history and one that we should never forget. I only wish that our government could admit the truth and try to make amends to those survivors before they die of old age, and to the families of those who lost their lives.
