This is exactly the view of the ship that Admiral Thomas Moorer called "the most easily identifiable US Navy ship in the Mediterranean" (paraphrase from memory). Admiral Moorer, as the courageous Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff that he was, was an indefatigable champion of the cause of the USS Liberty crew and our people in the still-unrealized quest for a true investigation and revealing of the facts of the June 8, 1967 attack.

June 8th, 2012, marked the 45th Anniversary of the USS Liberty attack by Israel. Although 45 years have passed since Israel attacked a US Navy ship in international waters, the US government still maintains silence.
But even after so many years, and knowing full well that the topic of the Liberty is widely viewed as poisonous, the visitors still note the absence of political and military officials at the observance.
“We talk about it among ourselves,” said Blue-Rousakis, whose first husband, Alan Blue, was a National Security Agency linguist on the ship. He was among the 34 men killed and 174 wounded in the attack.

“Of the family members and the survivors, every single one of us at one time or another has invited our representative from [the House] and the Senate. And no one has ever shown up. No one. It’s a very sad little gathering.”

I just got off the phone with Merlin Miller. He's just now arriving at FreedomPalooza in Bucks County, PA. If you live anywhere in the 200 mile radius of Bucks County, you ought to load the kids into the station wagon and head to the event. Merlin has a team of A3P folks there at the event. Merlin speaks on Sunday at noon. He was on the Rick Adams radio show last night. He'll be doing more media channels from FreedomPalooza. Next weekend he'll be at the Council of Conservative Citizens national convention in Nashville, TN.

I was able to connect Merlin into the American Third Position board of directors conference call that concluded half-an-hour ago. Merlin will have a great opportunity to connect with former Ohio Congressman Jim Traficant and also with Gun Owners of America head Larry Pratt, both of whom will be sharing the podium with Merlin at FreedomPalooza.

The A3P team with Merlin at FreedomPalooza has been gathering signatures to put Merlin and A3P on the New Jersey ballot in November. These great folks already have slightly more than the number of signatures needed to gain ballot access in New Jersey. There are sure to be lots of New Jersey folks at FreedomPalooza (which is just across the Delaware River from New Jersey) so more signatures will be coming out of FreedomPalooza. We're already on the ballot in Colorado.

We should be able to get on the ballot in Louisiana. We need a little help in Louisiana. We need a few folks to act as Electors for us. That's easy. You don't have to do anything. If you're a registered voter in Louisiana, you can be an Elector. The Electors are just a list of names of registered voters that Louisiana requires of any political party.
