That's interesting that I came across this thread. I spent my Sunday at the local gun shop watching my wife take her carry permit course. The gun store owner was real nice -- he closed up shop and took us out back and showed the wife how to shoot revolvers and semi-automatics for two hours in the freezing cold, and then she came in and passed the NRA written test. She was real proud of her paper target -- wants to frame it. She is a workaholic and doesn't have many hobbies, but she sure likes shooting.
