Indo-European culture and the American world-order

"I wish to speak to you today about the current campaign towards establishing a one-world order under the hegemony of the United States. As you know, this internationalist effort indeed began shortly after the end of the second world-war when the old British Empire was transferred to the United States of America. The only major obstacle to the establishment of a one-world order at that time was the dominance in the East of the Soviet Union under Communist rule. Now that the Communist regime in the former Soviet Union has crumbled, the task of expanding American influence under the guise of capitalistic democracy has been greatly facilitated, even though there are still pockets of Communist resistance in the Far East.
The rise of fundamentalist Islam has begun to pose a new menace to the American enterprise but the example of the purchase of Egyptian, Saudi and Pakistani support for the American cause with enormous foreign and military aid is a sign that the Moslem nations are not all equally united in their struggle for Islamic independence. It is to be seen what effect the resistance to America in Iraq and Palestine will have on the juggernaut of capitalistic democracy that seeks to ride brazenly through the world. However, I believe that the surest bulwark against the devastations of capitalistic materialism is that which can be offered by Europe and the Old World, in other words, by the Indo-European nations. The aim of my talk is to point to the strengths that the Indo-Europeans alone possess to stop the deleterious cultural invasions of a commercial international order, which seeks to effect global unity regardless of the laws of Nature and Spirit.
The chief political characteristic of the American order today is not so much democracy in the classical sense as, rather, a vulgar proletarian democracy, that is, democracy not through the real participation of the most valuable sections of every society in the government of the nation, but, instead, through the mass election of a few candidates presented to the public by big business interests. The primacy of politics, or the cultivation of the nation, recedes in such a system before the brute force of finance, which begins to usurp a political office, which it is ill, equipped to occupy. For, its main concerns are the proliferation of its own commercial interests, especially in the international forum. Internationalism is thus encouraged for its own benefit regardless of the damage that this causes to the individual national societies that are forced to enlist in its order for economic reasons. Hence arises the abomination of so-called multiculturalism, a monstrous sociological anomaly, which is best, evidenced in the grotesque "melting pot" metropolises of America. America itself has already become such a hybrid national entity that it can no longer command unqualified respect in its own land, let alone abroad. There are already large pockets of the nation that are revolted by the gaudy and empty spectacle that the American life-style presents, but they are neither unified nor strong enough to undertake any real resistance against their financial and political masters.
There is in America today hardly any vestige of the old Christian faith of the original Protestant founders of the nation. In its stead, there are ever more garish and ludicrous celebrations of Santa Claus and his reindeer in order to boost commercial sales every Christmas season. There is hardly any real education among the youth, since every effort at disciplining a child is considered a violation of his rights, and mechanical computers have taken over the role of the traditional schoolmaster without having either the humanity or the discernment of the latter. True culture is virtually impossible in such a stunted society, and serious philosophy and art are either totally shunned, or quickly and very "democratically" reduced to the level of the louder, and commercially more successful, "popular culture". These evil effects of capitalistic democracy are due clearly to the lack of a clearly defining national culture in America itself and one of the major reasons for this alarming emptiness at the base of a nation which presumes to export its social and political model to the rest of the world is the little mentioned fact that America today is no longer ruled by traditional Americans of Anglo-Saxon heritage but by a more or less alien elite - namely, the Jews.
I am sure you are already aware of the fact that the Jews have usurped a ruling position in North America as well as in most of the Western world, which follows the leadership of the Americans. Indeed, the Jewish sociologist, Prof. W.D. Rubinstein, already reported some twenty years ago, in his book The Left, the Right and the Jews, that, in America, 57 out of the 500 national leaders whose original religion was known were Jewish by origin 11.4 per cent. The highest Jewish proportion found in any elite was among media leaders, where Jews accounted for 25.8 per cent of the known total.
Further: The most widely read American journals like Commentary, The Public Interest, The New York Review of Books, New Republic and Partisan Review are either explicitly Jewish or contain a disproportionately Jewish input.
This domination of the major channels of intellectual information by the Jews has not only ensured their own academic and social supremacy but also effected a totalitarian indoctrination of the American people. As Walter Kerr reported already in 1968, " what has happened since World War II is that the American sensibility has become part Jewish … The literate American mind has come in some measure to think Jewishly. It has been taught to, and it was ready to. After the entertainers and novelists came the Jewish critics, politicians, theologians"....
Prof. Kevin MacDonald's recent three-volume study of the Jews, however, ascertains that there is "a fundamental and non-resolvable friction between Judaism and prototypical Western political and social structure". In particular, MacDonald's third volume, The Culture of Critique, on the Jewish involvement in the intellectual and political movements of the twentieth century, confirms that Jewish pseudo-intellectualism actually works in a deliberate and concerted manner against the organic world-view of the European in order to corrode and destroy it. The intellectual movements that the Jews have spearheaded in the twentieth century such as Boasian anthropology, psychoanalysis, the Frankfurt School of Social Research, the New York Intellectuals and the entire gamut of political radicalism, have served a Jewish agenda in higher educational and political circles of developing "a fundamental restructuring of the intellectual basis of gentile society in ways conducive to the continued existence of Judaism". The swell of subversive Jewish ideology over the land has effectively contributed to the decline of a homogeneous Protestant culture in the United States.
Unfortunately, the intellectual perspectives spawned by the chameleon Jewish thinkers has gained currency in the larger academic and social arenas of America through the networks established in the elite universities which subject all aspiring intellectuals to "a high level of indoctrination at the undergraduate and graduate levels". Jewish-owned publishing houses eagerly propagate these pseudo-intellectual fashions, and the media and Hollywood fan the flames of enthusiasm for such viewpoints among the less intellectual masses. The real horror of this propaganda machine is that "these intellectual movements have been fundamentally irrational" and marked by a thoroughgoing philosophical skepticism which has sought to "impose a medieval anti-scientific orthodoxy on much of the contemporary intellectual world". However, unlike the Christian medieval orthodoxy, which was fundamentally anti-Semitic, the Judaic orthodoxy of the twentieth century seeks to undermine all intellectual bases for the development of gentile organic collectivist structures, which might revive anti-Semitism. In the process of this monstrous thought-control of society, the Jews have effectively destroyed both the social health and the artistic and scientific capacities of the Western peoples amongst whom they live.
The most blatant evidence of the seizure of power in America by the Jews, after their long centuries of cohabitation with the European peoples as slaves, subjects and socialists is represented by the infiltration of the Conservative Party by the so called "Neo-conservatives" of present-day American politics. The Neo-conservatives are, in fact, neither conservative nor new, being old socialist and communist Jews who moved from the left to the right under pressure from the blacks and other extreme left wing groups impatient with the exploitative mechanisms of the Jewish capitalists. It is not surprising that the paleo- or old Conservative politician, Pat Buchanan, wrote in 1991 that it was the task of his conservative group to take back their movement from "the neo-conservatives ... the ex liberals, socialists and Trotskyists who signed on in the name of anti communism and now control our foundations and set the limits of permissible dissent". As a correspondent of the old conservative, Russell Kirk once noted, "the chief enemy of American conservatism has not been the Marxists, nor even the socialist liberals in the Democratic Party, but the Neo conservatives, who have sabotaged the movement from within and exploited it for their own selfish purposes" M.E. ****ford put it more pungently in his remark during the gloating exaltations of America's Gulf War, "I always feared the domestic Left more than Moscow ... I fear it even more now, since sometimes it calls itself conservatism. And the danger is perhaps greater now that Communism is out of the way".
The usurpation of the nationalist conservative tradition by alien internationalist forces that are basically communist in their mentality has transformed American democracy in this century into a garish and sterile plutocracy that rules dictatorially. The current war against "terrorism" has helped to obscure the fact that the intellectual dictatorship, both blatant and subtle, of the Jewish elite is indeed generically related to the blatant terrorism and violence that created the Israeli state and sustain it to this day. As Russell Kirk put it, "What really animates the neo-conservatives ... is the preservation of Israel. That lies at the back of everything". The tremendously powerful Jewish lobby, the American-Israeli Political Affairs Committee, which sponsors, or in other ways controls, many of the successful political candidates in American elections today, acts as a blatant agent for the foreign state of Israel, so that American foreign policy-making is more often than not determined in terms of its suitability or unsuitability for the prosperity of Israel.
Worse still is the introduction of secular Judaism throughout American society as the new religion of the West. In the place of Christianity, which was until this century the predominant religious basis of the social if not political organization of the Americans, there have been, in the course of this century, an increasing liberalization and Judaisation of American life, which have elevated all the errors of vulgar democracy into a pseudo-religion. Robert Bellah, for instance, in his seminal 1967 essay, "Civil Religion in America", identified, alongside the several religions and religious denominations of America, a "civil" religion which he terms "American religion". The God of this civil religion is alarmingly like Jehova: He is actively interested and involved in history, with a special concern for America. Here the analogy has much less to do with natural law than with ancient Israel; the equation of America with Israel in the idea of the "American Israel" is not infrequent ... Europe is Egypt; America the promised land. God has led his people to establish a new sort of social order that shall be a light unto all the nations.
Bellah further speculates that the emergence of a genuine trans-national sovereignty would certainly ... necessitate the incorporation of vital international symbolism into our civil religion ... it would result in American civil religion becoming simply one part of a new civil religion of the world ... Behind the civil religion at every point lie Biblical archetypes: Exodus, Chosen People, Promised Land, New Jerusalem, Sacrificial Death and Rebirth. But it is also genuinely American and genuinely new. It has its own prophets and its own martyrs, its own sacred events and sacred places, its own solemn rituals and symbols. It is concerned that America be a society as perfectly in accord with the will of God as men can make it, and a light to all the nations.
The symbolic role of Israel in these passages reveals the international ambitions underlying the Judaisation of American thought and history by the Jewish elite that we noted a little earlier.
However, the Jewish rule of America strangles the cultural growth of America itself through its narrow rational and commercially oriented preoccupations. The dangerous mediocrity of the Jewish mind is manifest primarily in the religious outlook of the Jews itself, which is completely devoid of mythological value and, rather, portrays the historical destiny of the Jews as the destiny of the entire world which will be ruled by the so-called "chosen people" of the Jewish God, Jehova. Already in the late nineteenth century, the English cultural historian Houston Stewart Chamberlain recognized this radical defect of the Jewish mentality. The materialistic mind of the Jewish scribes is evident in their transformation of the elaborate mythological speculations of the Sumero-Akkadians into a mere historical record of the Jewish tribe itself: “The fantastically scientific ideas in Genesis, concerning the origin of the organic world, the profound myth of the fall of man, the theory of the development of man up to the first organization of society [which was originally the mythical and symbolical conception of an imaginative people (probably the Sumero-Accadians) ... all that became `history' [in the hands of the Jews] and thereby it at the same time lost all significance as religious myth; for the myth is elastic, inexhaustible whereas here a simple chronicle of facts, an enumeration of events, lies before us. That is materialism ... with this view of religion only practical ends are pursued, no ideal ones."
"This materialistic world-view of the Jews is reflected also in the fact that, right from the beginning of the creation of man, the Jewish god proscribes through the strictest interdictions all attempts at a spiritual approximation of man to the level of the deity. By contrast, the Indo-European mythology is throughout infused with the sense of the divinity of man, whose 'atman' or individual soul is identical in its purest form with the 'brahman' or the soul of the cosmos.
In the Jewish religion, the restriction of man to the limitations of his intellect and the total disregard of the divine potentiality of the spirit makes Jehova a virtual dictator over an impotent creation, so that we indeed find in Jewish monotheism what Alain de Benoist perceptively calls "the mark of a compensated impotence". All efforts to develop the creative spiritual powers of man are discouraged by the jealous god of the Jews, as we remember from the very first account of human life in Genesis where Adam and Eve are banished from the Garden of Eden for aspiring to the knowledge of good and evil. The resentment and envy characteristic of Jehova are indeed the trademarks of the Jews themselves throughout their recorded history. Indeed, as Chamberlain put it, Jehova is really nothing else but an old Jew, provided with enormous will-power and good intellectual gifts, but thereby wrathful and vengeful and lacking in many respects the simplest moral concepts: he allows every deception, every plunder and carnage, as long as this serves his little chosen people or one of his special favorites; he is without any feeling for inborn human value and inborn merit.
Unfortunately, the infusion of the Jewish monotheistic religious sensibility into the originally polytheistic pagan peoples of Europe through the intermediary of the new reformed Judaic religion called Christianity in the early centuries A.D. caused the Europeans to adopt the same rigid intolerance and despotism of the Jewish ethos in the form of a desire to bring the entire world under the yoke of Christianity. As Julius Evola, the Italian aristocrat and traditionalist who wrote during and after the second world-war, pointed out, the decadence of a civilisation indeed first begins when it replaces its divine mythological understanding of the universe with the mundane course of history. The point of dissolution of European culture is located by Evola at the moment of the fall of the Roman Empire and the intrusion of Christianity into the European nations.
However, we should remember that the new Semitic religion deriving from the Jewish tradition was for a few centuries at least, especially in the Middle Ages, elevated by the original European spirit of selfless devotion to a superior spiritual cause through the institutions of feudalism and sacred imperialism. As Hans GĂĽnther has noted in his book, Fr?mmigkeit nordischer Artung, the concept of 'humanitas' among the early European civilisations of Rome and the Germanic Roman Empire was determined by the dignity of the high-minded and well-born man. But, according to Guenther, the Renaissance soon initiated the process of decadence with its proclivity to so-called 'humanism', which quickly became identical with egalitarianism, and mercantile imperialism. However, I should point out that the Renaissance was indeed responsible for the wondrous revival of classical antiquity in modern European culture. I believe that more guilty of the rise of anti-aristocratic thought in the era of the Renaissance was radical Protestantism and the Puritan ethic, which are at once Jude centric and commercially oriented movements, as Max Weber has demonstrated. It is not surprising that the inspiration for the French Revolution indeed came from the example of the 1776 Revolution in the land of the Puritans. The French Revolution in turn paved the way for the ensuing democratic Liberalism, which finally resulted in the horrors of modern economic collectivism, communistic as well as capitalistic. It is significant that both these forms of economic collectivism were crystallized by the Jewish intellect, the former most notably by Karl Marx and the latter by the entire Jewish capitalistic rule of modern America.
The unfortunate emancipation of the Jews in the nineteenth century and their gradual domination of the West have ended in the present-day propaganda of anti-aristocratic capitalist democracy, which is being proclaimed from every corner of the world as the only possible government of nations. However, as Nietzsche declared, the Jewish social ethos is the very opposite of the European: Rome found in the Jew the incarnation of the unnatural, as though it were its diametrically opposed monstrosity, and in Rome the Jew was held to be convicted of hatred of the whole human race: and rightly so, in so far as it is right to link the well-being and the future of the human race to the unconditional mastery of the aristocratic values, of the Roman values.
Chamberlain too pointed out that the sociological predilection of the Jewish intellectuals for capitalism, democracy, social mobility and modernism threaten the spirit of the Aryan, who is characterized by "Innerlichkeit" and inner spiritual and intellectual freedom. Indeed, the entire thrust of a world order ruled by Americans ruled by Jews is in total opposition to the natural socio-cultural direction of the Indo-European nations who represent the flower of human civilisation as represented both in Indian, Persian, Greek and Roman antiquity and in the more modern cultures of the northern Germanic peoples up to the British Empire. Unlike the Indo-Europeans, who have always relegated business endeavours to the lower ranks of a society ruled by priests and kings, the Jews have never had any other concern but commercial rule over foreign nations which have been debased through popular revolutions and internecine wars.
The American world-order, though called democratic, is indeed the fulfillment of Karl Marx's prophecy of a proletarian dictatorship. Of course, when we talk of the dictatorship of the proletariat we mean the triumph not of the entire populace as leaders of a nation for such a phenomenon is indeed a mere chimera or opium for the masses, but rather the rule in the name of the proletariat of a few wealthy and largely anonymous multinational financial organisations. What remains effective of a proletarian dictatorship is the unhappy fact that these organisations catering to the masses succeed in projecting as cultural norms the puerile egoism of the masses. Hence the immense vulgarity of the tenor of American society in general, which is most markedly influenced by the empty-headed, computer-generated, television and film entertainment of Hollywood. Hence, also the widespread lack of good manners and civility even among the so-called educated levels of American society, a lack, which anyone used to the older European societies, is immediately appalled by.
A new world-order established on such unnatural and unsound foundations cannot last, even if it were indeed put into force by economic and military might. And, if the entire world is not to decay under the disease of modern Americanism, an effective remedy must be found to its spread. This remedy, as I have indicated in my book, is the natural socio-political ethos of the Indo-Europeans, which is at once aristocratic and nationalistic. It is true that Europe has suffered considerably under the force of the American invasion after the disastrous world war."
"As the German scholar, W. Halbfass recently stated in his book, India and Europe: An Essay in Understanding , In a sense, Europe itself has been "superseded" and left behind by the modern Westernized world. It is certainly no longer the master and protagonist of the process of "Europeanization". The direction of this process, the meaning of progress, the significance of science and technology have become thoroughly questionable. The doubts and questions which had already been raised by the Romantics, Schopenhauer and others and which determined their interest in India have become much more urgent. The search for alternatives now appears as a matter of life and death.
We notice that Halbfass instinctively points to Indian culture as the antidote to the Americanization of Europe. It is true that India too has recently begun to import many of the commercial technologies and entertainment of America. However, the foundations of Hindu culture are solid enough to withstand all passing invasions by alien social forces. India, more than any other Indo-European nation, has been able to maintain its spiritual traditions through the age-old institutions of caste and social particularization. India may therefore offer a guiding light to Europe in its effort to throw off the Jewish American colonisation, which is already underway on the continent.
I said that the Indo-European mind is directly opposed to the Jewish American. The proof of this radical difference is that our civilisations, both eastern and western, have been directed in their most glorious periods by a spiritual direction of all worldly politics. The real evil of the revolutionary thought of Marx which lies behind present-day American Jewish politics is that it cunningly substitutes for the natural aristocratic leaders the most successful representatives of the dominant economic class, regardless of their essentially petty financial background and their weak aptitude for the national-cultural goals of politics. This is the real bane of present day American society, which we may rightly call a Marxist one, for the rise to power in it of formerly outcast social elements, particularly the Jews, represents the most radical undermining of the traditional aristocratic strength of the West.
The most urgent task that lies before the Indo-Europeans today is to recover their original spiritual character and reform the degenerate type of democratic government, which has been forced upon them. The natural revulsion to the Marxist democratic ethos is evident both in Indian as well as in European thinkers. I may point, for an example of the spiritual focus of politics, to one of India's earliest nationalists, Aurobindo Ghosh, who, in his essay "Asiatic Democracy", declared that, unlike most western democracies, Indian civilisation seeks "the fulfillment of the highest tendencies of human civilisation and it must include in its sweep the most vital impulses of modern life. It will include democracy and Socialism also, purifying them, raising them above the excessive stress on the economic adjustments which are the means, and teaching them to fix their eyes more constantly and clearly on the moral, intellectual and spiritual perfection of mankind, which is the aim".
Aurobindo identifies the fundamental weakness of modern democracy as being due to the fact that "It took as its motive the rights of man and not the Dharma [natural duty] of humanity; it appealed to the selfishness of the lower classes against the pride of the upper; it made hatred and internecine war the permanent allies of Christian ideals and wrought an inextricable confusion which is the modern malady of Europe." India's task, however, is to regenerate the modern western concept of democracy in the light of its spiritual intuitions: Her mission is to point back humanity to the true source of human liberty, equality, and human brotherhood. When man is free in spirit, all other freedom is at his command; for the Free is the Lord who cannot be bound. When he is liberated from delusion, he perceives the divine equality of the world which fulfills itself through love and justice, and this perception transfuses itself into the law of government and society ... Dharma is the Indian conception in which rights and duties lose the artificial antagonism created by a view of the world which makes selfishness the root of action, and regain their deep and eternal unity.
The system of caste in ancient India was indeed a necessary social framework for the cultivation of Hindu Dharma. It was instituted "in order to secure an ordered society in which she could develop her spiritual insight and perfect her civilization". In his essay "Caste and Democracy", Sri Aurobindo distinguishes castes from the European classes, which were a predominantly economic and materialistic division. As he says, The division of castes in India was conceived as a distribution of duties. A man's caste depended on his dharma, his spiritual, moral and practical duties, and his dharma depended on his swabhav, his temperament, and inborn nature ... Caste therefore was … a supreme necessity without which Hindu civilisation could not have developed its distinctive character or worked out its unique mission.
Interestingly, the urge to reform the mechanical conception of democracy as a rule by numbers according to a more authentic Indo-European socio-political ethos was most markedly present in the German conservative writers of the early part of this century, who sought to combat the false economic sociology of the Jewish thinker, Karl Marx. Oswald Spengler, for example, the author of the celebrated cultural history of the Occident, The Decline of the West, points in his essay "Prussianism and Socialism" to the merits of the traditional Prussian system of social organisation as compared to the capitalistic system of party politics and parliamentarianism: The Prussian style of living ... has produced a profound and vigorous rank-consciousness, a feeling of unity based on an ethos of work, not leisure. It unites the members of each professional group - military, civil service, and labour - by infusing them with a pride of vocation and dedicates them to activity that benefits all others, the totality, the state ... The bond of unity at all levels is a supreme ethos of dedication, not of success.
When the democratisation of government became unavoidable in monarchical Germany, it still managed to infuse its traditional knightly ideal into the new political system: The knightly "all for all" principle "took the form in Prussia of assigning to every individual, depending on his practical, moral and intellectual abilities, a certain measure of command and obedience. That is to say, each citizen was allotted a very personal rank and degree of responsibility, and like an official post it was revocable". The Prussian socialism that Spengler advocated would bring about a "socialistic monarchy" or "authoritative socialism" in which "the most responsible position in this gigantic organism ... must no longer be abandoned to ambitious privateers". Such a system will cultivate a unified nation in which everyone is assigned his place according to his socialistic rank, his talent for voluntary self-discipline based on inner conviction, his organisational abilities, his work potential, consciousness and energy, his intelligent willingness to serve the common cause. Let us plan for general work-conscription, resulting in occupational guilds that will administrate and at the same time be guided by an administrative council, and not by a parliament.
He then goes on to contrast this Prussian state form to the capitalistic world republic: "Counter to this idea is the vision of a capitalistic world republic ... The world republicans dream of the earth as a hunting ground for those who want to get rich and who demand for themselves the right to engage in hand-to-hand combat." Rather than being run by dedicated civil servants and military officials, such a republic will inevitably be propelled by bankers and billionaires and the subservience of politics to economics will be complete.
The West is today obviously paralysed by a fundamental malaise brought about by the revolutionary social changes of the post-war years and the loss of all traditional aristocracy and religiosity of political thought. This social sickness is compounded by the contemporary tendency of Christianity to renounce its mediaeval European (and anti-Judaic) character and to return to its original Judaic form. In such an alarming stasis, it is necessary to make a determined and concerted effort to renounce the seductive materialistic way of life prescribed as the norm by the alien elite that rule America and, by extension, even Europe, an elite that have, in the course of the last century, well-nigh destroyed the spiritual and cultural springs of the West. The materialisation and vulgarisation of the world by the Jewish American elite can be radically combatted only with a firm aristocratic philosophical foundation and direction such as is offered by the idealistic philosophical traditions of Europe and India. The Europeans should begin to divine, behind the facade of contemporary power-politics, the deeper, natural affinities which exist between nations of the same philosophical and cultural development, so that they will not cast their lot with states such as America and Israel which are essentially hostile to everything that the ancient cultural heritage of the Indo-Europeans represents.
The ancient Aryan social ideal of universal spirituality and aristocratic, that is, hierarchical social ordering according to dharma - or the innate spiritual and intellectual capacities and duties of men - must be revived in the West to strengthen the body politic if it is to survive the assaults of its powerful internal as well as external enemies. Although this goal may at first glance seem insuperably difficult in the face of the growing Americanisation of the world, I may briefly recall to you the early assessment of America as a democracy by the French aristocrat Alexis de Tocqueville. As he reported in the second part of his book On Democracy in America, published in 1840, a nation cannot long remain strong when every man belonging to it is individually weak, and … no form or combination of social polity has yet been devised to make an energetic people out of a community of pusillanimous and enfeebled citizens.
Today, the intellectual weakness and moral cowardice of the average democratic American have been fittingly duly rewarded by a total enslavement to alien masters so that they do not even realize that the battles of liberation that are continuing in the Middle East are indeed daily dramatic confirmations of their own lack of freedom. If Europe is to be spared this frightful fate of intellectual atrophy it must immediately renounce its allegiance to the Judeo-American axis and stand forth once again as the continent of higher civilisation and of enlightened, that is, Indo-European, culture."
